Oh no Wokies!: Hollywood writers strike ! Update: actors strike too! No She Hulk 2 or Eternals 2

Workers striking is an outcome of capitalism. No woke to see here, move along.

 

I hope this does not delay The Marvels, I have November 10 checked on my calendar for it....

I don't know what the problem is, I'll take a job for low pay as a woke script writer... Its the easiest job ever, I'll make sure every lead character is a women or trans with corny punch lines. Oh and I'll write the films super anti conservative and bring up slavery every chance I get. Then I'll write a male character that is manly at first but then turns out to be gay ass hell..... Easy....

 

Do these woke movies even need script writers thou? I'm sure they can easily make these movies with whatever the woke actors want to say and the movies don't lose anything. Its not like they are producing high quality well written movies as of late anyways...

I was reading one of the issues the actors have with the proposal they were given, the studios want non stars to be able to work one day, digitize the actor and then use them for the rest of the movie and any other project in the future which the studio then owns and that actor only gets paid for one day. AI seems to be a real concern and I can see their point, are the actors greedy as hell, sure, but just like sports the studios (aka: owners) are even richer. Time for repeats, I wonder how much they have in the can for the new shows coming out in a few months.

“The endgame is to allow things to drag on until union members start losing their apartments and losing their houses,” a studio executive told Deadline. Acknowledging the cold-as-ice approach, several other sources reiterated the statement. One insider called it “a cruel but necessary evil.”

 

The writers and actors strike has nothing to do with “wokeness” it has to do with revenue streams from streaming and AI.

Similar threats to other professions from AI are coming and this might just be the start of labor unrest from the white collar world.
