That very post mentioned KPJ being a sh*t option. It's hard to say anyone on the team is a sh*t option under Silas running an offense that doesn't put the team we have in a good position. So I addressed that. If you didn't say that in that post I wouldn't have referenced it.
it actually isn't that hard to know already hes not a pg. if that's all you saw then quote that part rather than gloss over the majority of the post and what he was talking about
We weren't running a sophisticated offense bc kpj isn't a fking pg. Silas is incompetent, but blaming him for our offense blowing and ignoring kpj is just mindblowingly stupid. Literally aside from the kpj stans, anybody with an eye can clearly see that kpj lacks the skillset of a pg. Man isn't able to use lob threats, can't run fast break, cant find the open man, freezes out the hot player, tunnel visions. Man is a scoring guard when we need a playmaker. This has been repeated over and over in threads u clearly never bothered to read. Running it back with kpj is a sht alternative to signing harden.
I don't think folks are that delusional to think that we are a pg and Coach from Winning it all. Folks want a coach and actual pg bc we just spent three ish year blowing with kpj and silas. Pg is a position that needs to b addressed and logically u sign the best playmaker over the alternatives. I envision harden role to b like cp3 when he was with the thunders. His vast experience and playmaking abilites will greatly improve the development process for our youngsters. Folks are resistant about trading our assets/players is bc we aren't sure how good our players can actually become bc their development was hindered by silas incompetence and kpj at pg. Trading them away b4 seeing how they perform with a new coach/pg like harden is clearly being short sighted
No, because it is guaranteed that Brown or Bridges will not be that kind of player, and Green/Smith/Sengun at least have a chance.
He would have done it by now if he could. He's already in the middle of his prime years, and he's a very good but slightly overrated player. I have him around the back end of the top 30 players in the league. He is what he is, good #2 guy on a contender and that's all.
Jaylen Brown is already a top 20 player at the very least. When he's announced on the all nba team, it'll just further solidify it. and making it at 26 allows plenty of years to continue that level of play.
We didn't run a sophisticated offense even when KPJ was out. In fact Silas was known for his heliocentric offenses as an assistant. So it stands to reason that KPJ and Jalen might have just been emulating that at Silas' behest.
He's not efficient enough or a good enough passer, sorry. The league has gotten too talented. Too many better scorers who do more things offensively. 26, 7, and 3 off of 21 shots just isn't as impressive as it used to be. Everyone is going to have to re-calibrate their sense of what a top 15-20 player looks like; six (6) players scored over 30 points per game this season.
don't know what you're sorry about when you make an all nba team, you're definitely a top 20 player minimum. there's really nothing anyone can say about that
He's gonna get in because sportswriters love the Celtics and love to award players on successful teams. That doesn't mean he deserved it though--the sportswriters are wrong all the time. It also means we have no chance of getting him because he will sign a supermax extension with Boston, so no point in even arguing about this.
nah, he gets in because he deserves it. he's not a FA anyway. the rockets had no shot to get him to begin with. Random CF's wishes don't mean a thing if your logic applied why has Middleton never gotten in as an all nba player. The bucks have been one of the top teams for a long time
Because they're the Bucks. Sportswriters don't give a crap about Milwaukee. If he played in California, NY, Boston, etc, he probably would have scraped his way onto a third team a couple years back. But you're right that he's not quite as good as Brown. That doesn't make Brown a top 15-20 player, it just means Middleton is/was not in the top 30 (which is true).
List 20 players better than all nba brown this isnt the first year Boston has been a top team. If your logic applied brown would have made it before already. So why now. We’ll that’s easy. He earned it. SGA is probably going to make all nba. Do they give af about okc or nah since he doesn’t play in Cali Ny or Boston.
How about if he got his own team? Maybe he has another gear away from Tatum. I just don’t view it as guarantees but projections. I find it a realistic hope that Green gets to Brown’s level, but still a hope.
This is a trap because you're just going to start arguing about individual choices. But sure, why not--here's 29. Jokic, Embiid, Giannis, Tatum, Luka, SGA, KD, LeBron, Butler, Davis, Curry, Lillard, Harden (yep, he still is), Mitchell, Haliburton, Young, Towns, Randle, Morant, Booker, Kawhi, DeRozan, Markkannen, Bam, Ingram, Zion (if he can ever stay on the damn court), Fox, LaVine, Edwards.
Okay dude, whatever. Like I said we're not going to get him anyway, he will remain a Celtic, so no point in continuing to argue about this
