We have to start the season with green! Why wouldn’t you see what you have in Jalen green under a head coach like Udoka!? That would be crazy! I love the potential Jalen green has shown his first two years . Just look at fox and Booker for example with how their careers have turned out ! Stay patient.. they did and it worked

Keep that energy when he's actually held accountable and his playing time drops due to his defensive shortcomings.

From what I've seen, certain fans love the idea of accountability when it comes to certain players but freak out at the prospect of their pet players facing accountability.

The two most underperforming players on the roster are Jalen Green and Jabari Smith. We'll see how they respond to accountability.

Raptors fans are hilarious & are in panic mode. The comment section in shambles.

They really think highly of Siakam & some even mentioned JG4 & the lottery pick for him.

Idk if the timing is great to trade jalen green right now . But I would do it for the right deal

what that looks like , I have no idea .

not a great year to have huge cap space either imo .

I wonder if we get number 1 , we decide to position around victor more than anything. Do we try to get players we think will fit with him ?

honestly , we won’t be contending next year either .

most likely this is yet another year of green getting to learn . Let’s just hope he’s held accountable like the org is saying everyone will be .

I do see a lot of scoring wiggle and shot making potential. But is he more Jamal Crawford , monta Ellis … or can he add more elements to his game?

how high can he hone his best attributes too ?

this isn’t a make or break year for anyone . Maybe garuba and jc and Tate for us … but these guys will still get looks around the league .

Ok nix . But that’s if he’s still here .

and y’all . I know the nuggets are the 1 seed. But everyone says devin booker as a comp for green … #1 booker is more of a jump shooter . #2 is booker a good outcome ?

he’s got good scoring ability but he’s got Kevin Durant on his team and they got they ass beat game 1 .

    Good Lawd, the delusions.

Please take this thread behind the barn and shoot it in the head. I'm sorry I kept it alive but I did so only to kill it, only to kill it.

If we were to get Victor, and he is as good as the hype, as one of our forwards (SF or PF), interchangeable with Bari and Tari, and we were to get Harden and another solid FA or two - why would we not aim to contend?

IMO it's not a good idea to trade a prospect until the organization feels that they are 99% confident in who he will be and have information asymmetry versus their trading partner.

In other words, if our trading partner has reason to see Jalen as a future superstar and Rockets are VERY sure that he will just be an empty stat machine that is the only time you should trade a top pick and expect to win the trade.

Raptor fans are the most delusional fans. Their assets are all overated. There's a reason despite all the fakw hype for Siakam, FVV, OG, Barnes, they were 10th seed and couldn't make it past the playins

Realistically, Siakam probably is just about good enough to bring back a player like Green or Sengun (not both though) as the centerpiece of a trade. The problem is the same one as a lot of fan-proposed trades--they're not thinking from the Rockets' perspective in terms of what our organization is looking for at this time. Fans on this forum do this about other teams a lot too.

The kind of team that would trade a player like Green or Sengun for the likes of Siakam is a team that is looking to contend next season, not a team just starting "phase 2" of the rebuild as our organization has described it. If they want a good young player back they should be talking to a team like Miami about a guy like Herro, which is probably an overpay for Siakam, but they might at least listen and maybe you can work out some overall trade by also including one of your bench guys or something. Or if Toronto wants to go full "tank and rebuild", talk to Portland about something like Shaedon Sharpe + picks.

Just got back from Paris, France. I missed a lot of NBA Talk as the French just don't care about American Sports. After 21 pages, what exactly was the response from the Rockets about the idea of trading Green to get star talent? I'm sure the demand for the resident knucklehead, KPJ is pretty damn low, so they are going to want a sane better player in exchange for a star.

'The Rockets, sources said, also addressed the idea of including second-year guard Jalen Green, the No. 2 pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, as part of a package for acquiring established star talent.'

    Did the Rockets say ?........

Green is gone no matter what.
Make an offer we can't refuse,
    Take KPJ instead.
    Green is untouchable.

Yeah, they seem to think Siakam is spelled T-A-T-U-M.

Exactly. The quote is strange, because "addressed" can mean different things. But apparently today anything can snowball into a story...

It's not just us...I'm seeing so many threads on reddit from other fanbases throwing trade ideas involving JG.

It's not that he's a can't miss superstar so I understand guys getting their gears spinning, but people have to remind themselves it's wayyy too early to give up on him. Yes his efficiency is subpar, and his defense (save a few 1on1 moments against top pg's) leaves much to be desired, but he's shown he can be a lethal scorer, and his passing is further along than anticipated. His athletic profile is insane, elite agility and speed but also functional. He's capable of doing things on the court that only few others could/can do. But it's clear as day that he needs to develop sooo much pro ball skill to put all that talent to good use. He needs someone to push him to his limits, both physical and mental, and to help him use his talent to win games. He's a hard worker by all accounts, but he needs a good group around him to accelerate his developement.

If Udoka is as advertised, and JG clicks with him, We will all be pleasantly surprised by his play next season. If by the all star break he's still playing like the last two seasons, and the rest of the core outgrows him, then We can begin to think trading him in the summer. It's too soon right now.

Mostly barber shop talk, but also agree that it is talked about around the league. Lot of out-of-the playoff teams considering topics before the lottery & draft.

And they know we are in pivot year, poking to see what Rocket is selling.

Despite what Bobby and DD think there's a reason why KPJ has no interest around the league in acquiring his services
