You think the episode about massive government overreach to solve rare but terrible problems is representative of which party now?
That would be the party denying free elections, suppressing the vote, causing culture wars based on being "anti-woke", promoting cancel culture against businesses and corporations over beer cans and inclusion policies, banning books, denying women the right to control over their own body and reproductive system, passing anti-lgbtq+ policies across the nation, fighting drag shows, pushing Christian Nationalism and trying to put the 10 commandments in classrooms... etc etc etc.
Are you serious? Have you not seen what's happening in Florida? Book bans? Anti-LGBTQ+ laws being passed all around the country? This seriously needs to be explained to you? The episode where Mayor Quimby blames the bear problem and then the resulting higher taxes on...wait for it...ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. Yeah...gonna go out on a limb and say that's pretty representative of today's GOP.

republicans hate the military so... There Are Too Many Generals and Admirals, a Senator Stalling Military Promotions Argues https://www.military.com/daily-news...ifies-continued-hold-military-promotions.html
Sounds like they are trying to eliminate a government position (aka smaller government) after there was a failure at that position that led to people not being able to vote (violation of rights). Generally speaking though, yes both major parties are garbage.
It’s an attempt at a State takeover in literally 1 county because they didn’t like the outcome. Nothing more and nothing less. There is no evidence that anyone was disenfranchised. There were something like 20 out of over 700 precincts that had a very temporary paper shortage. Is be curious to know how much Mattress Mack has donated to the rep that sponsored this bill. Seeing as though he’s still pushing this bulls**t narrative that the election was rigged.
You lost the argument...you just can't accept it yet. Live how you want but you won't force your beliefs on other folks.
The whole point of libertarianism is that you don't force your beliefs on anyone. If only others felt the same way.
It'll be great when Kinder-Morgan or Martin-Marietta or etc decide to pollute the hell out our area.... we can just choose to "like shopping at Target" pick a different underground pipeline or aggregate purveyor in the neighborhood. Sounds like a great plan. What a world you want to live in, you ****ing wacko.
That is yet to be seen and given that they are proposing laws to override their court there is still good reason to be concerned. Again if the USSC sides with the Legislative Supremacy argument what the WI SC rules will not matter.
I don't believe @StupidMoniker is a wacko and I think that is uncalled for. What I do think though is that he is looking at a very narrow set of circumstances. Governmental over reach and over regulation are actual problems that calls for more reform and fine tuning of regulations than abadoning the administrative state.
.... huh? The USSC isn't ruling for the state legislator in in that case. It's not even close lol. Did you not hear oral arguments? There's probably only 2 justices that will vote that way... And the WI Supreme Court is 100% nixing the gerrymander. She literally campaigned on it
The GOP just admitted that they and the Taliban share common hatred for homosexuals. He left out how they both like telling women what they can and can't do.
Sorry, but anyone who wants to do away with the FDA and let pharmaceutical companies dispense untested drugs into/onto the general population (I'm not even getting into the EPA/Ag Dept/Interior Dept/Labor Dept, etc... who "should" also be abolished in the name of FREEDOM) under the guise of "if somebody dies we'll all just take different drugs" that person is a batsh!t crazy wacko. Apologies to your sensitive sensibilities. But, as I mentioned a few days ago wrt gun control: "you can't make a freedom omelette without breaking a few kids"...or more to your wheelhouse "hey, if that building collapses, people should just move to a different one" and let the market sort it out I do note that you acknowledged this with a post elsewhere comparing libertarianism and communism, and how either could only work in a perfect world devoid of the base human proclivities.
A group of voters put this one into office. No clue what she is babbling about... and don't care to. Amazing to think she is making laws that effect us all.
