Say it all you want. Going to love it when you’re wrong though.

That’s insane. We have plenty of money to add vets. We need to be drafting players who may be able to take over when the vets are washed.

    1. Wemby
    2. Scoot
    3. Amen
    4. Miller
    5. Walker

and in the off case we end up drafting 6th…
    6. Anthony Black

If the 24' draft is this weak I'm looking to move that pick (Brooklyn) in any potential trade package for sure.

PG upgrade - Jalen - Walker - Bari - Sengun.

In crunch time: PG Upgrade - Jalen - Tari - Walker - Bari

Tari isn't on Walker's level. Jabari and Walker as a 3/4 is a headache and a half for offensive players. Get Derrick Lively later on and the team would be immensely versatile.

Black has been growing on me. I don't know if I see him as a point guard so much as a good-passing wing though. #6 feels like a bit of a reach, but I wouldn't hate it. I think there are almost as many questions about his shot as with Amen, and he isn't nearly an Amen-level athlete. Very, very close between him and Ausar Thompson for me. Similar overall player profiles too. Good defense, good court vision, very good athletes, questions about the jump shot. If you're taking Black over Ausar I think it's because you are really, really worried about the competition level in OTE, which is fair.

I think we take Miller at 2 over Henderson

Ime talked about shooting and size. At no point did he have anything to say about the backcourt. He called out wing shooting, defense, and size down low. Which to me is calling out KJ, Tate, and Tari(shooting not size). Some can say he called out Sengun a little but he never really said anything about KPJ, Green, Jabari besides compliment them with vets

When a long time NBA coach takes over a young basketcase team and says they need more shooting and defense, there is a 99.999% chance he is not talking about his hypothetical ranking of even more 19 year olds, but instead which veterans to bring in.

Two things rookies don't have in spades: shooting and defense.

Miller 6’9 and can shoot. Also dropped 41 with the pressure of accusations on him

Henderson 6’2, can’t defend, can’t shoot, does not look impressive in the g league whatsoever

Ime ain’t waiting to teach Henderson the point guard position either. We ain’t waiting. We are drafting Wemby or Miller and loading the bench with quality vets. Only way KPJ goes to bench is if Harden comes back.

Ok, sure, also his name is "Ime" which is part of "dime" as in slang for an assist - that means he's drafting Henderson.

Whoever we draft this year (other than maybe Wemby) is not going to significantly contribute to being a play-in+ level team in 2023-24.

They’ll play, and they’ll be talented, but they won’t be a net positive on the court vs NBA competition.

    Paolo wasn’t. Cade wasn’t. Edwards wasn’t.

19 year olds are not good at NBA basketball, outside of maybe 10 guys ever. If Ime wants shooting, defense, playmaking or whatever to implement his vision it’s not from a 19 year old. Whoever we draft helps us in the future, it’s not to solve problems for us next season.

Anyone who drafts Miller over Henderson deserves to be fired.

I’m not saying he has to be playoff ready. A 3&D 6’9 SF is a lot easier to ease into the lineup then a suspect looking 6’2 Henderson

I think the mean Ime is about to lean and play no bullshit with KPJ/Green/Jabari/Sengun and see what the true pecking order will be and who needs to be replaced(mostly KPJ and Sengun) and Wemby or Miller will just replace KMJ

I think Henderson is a litter over hyped and isn’t a lock for 2

If it's either Scoot or Brandon, the hierarchy would be challenged again.

I agree SF isn't a spot that would be put under the magnifying glass like the PG situation.

Can’t remember who’s mock draft it was but @Clutch had tweeted about the mock draft because they had us taking Miller over Scoot
