In my experience living in Colorado, it's more of a football state than anything else. People love the Broncos. Hockey is also moderately popular. NBA and MLB are not that big here. Partly it's just a smaller media market, partly there are a lot of transplants (like me) who root for teams in other states, partly it's just that people just have lots of other stuff to do here besides sit in front of the TV. Cities like Houston and Chicago are much more "camp out on the couch" type places due to weather and lack of outdoor activities.

Denver has the better 11 players. Suns have 3-4 players that are better than Denver's top 4 players. Difference. But not that much better any longer as the playoffs show. You need to hit both 2s and 3s much alike. Middies are good when you rush 3s in clutch situations and you can't get those to go.
