dont think anyone other than college kids would really enjoy this site but www.thefacebook.com is pretty cool. it gets very addicting and neat to find old friends...anyone else try it?
Yeah I'm on it; clever idea and nice interface. It's just like Friendster, but based on a limited number of colleges and universities. I've 'connected' to a few old friends from H-town through other people I'm friends with, but I'm leaning towards the nervous side in regards to contacting old friends I knew. I feel it would be too creepy, especially through an online site as good as it is. Although, I wouldn't mind being contacted by an old friend or even a stranger. Wait, hold that thought; was I just hit on by a gay dude?!?! Has to be a joke. Anyway, I'd much rather just fly back down to Houston and hang out in my old 'hood and waiting to run into people I knew. Now going back to The Facebook, the guy who created it is being sued for $100,000 by ConnectU, a similar site based out of Harvard that preceded TheFacebook. They claim Zuckerberg and The Facebook stole their idea or something like that but there was never a written contract.
I know exactly what you mean Mooch. It often feels awkward enough running into people I knew in the past, much less digging them up on the internet.
I was talking to one of my coworkers about the Facebook and they have no concept to what it once was. It’s wild that it went from a college only network to whatever it is today.
Was it MySpace or FB in HS? I had a FB because I was always do stuff before it’s cool but don’t remember if it was used as much
