OK. Someone tell me some advanced stats which indicate bad luck. Like when Tucker started out slow, but it was because he was hitting them hard, but right at people.

I don't understand moving Pena down now?

Unless Dusty still expects Brantley to be #2 when he returns and he hopes Pena will keep hitting in 6th. Move him there hot and hope he stays hot?

“Abreu’s awful first month in Houston must prompt at least some serious concern. Nothing about it felt like bad luck. A .242 expected batting average and a .354 expected slugging percentage all but confirm that. Abreu slashed .237/.269/.272 and did not once seem like a hitter on the precipice of a breakthrough. He stopped hitting the ball hard, chased outside the strike zone at almost a 38 percent clip and struck far too few line drives.”

Chandler Rome put out a piece saying

    1) Abreu says he's not seeing the ball

    2) Astros hitting coaches have found an issue with his hands and head that are negatively affecting his swing and results.

Maybe he needs contacts because there isn’t much positive contact from his swing.

I saw where Urquidy is on IL. Bielak called up.

    Hindsight is 20/20…but here goes….

Maybe they should have resigned Diaz. He would certainly be better then Hensley. Granted Dubon is an option when Altuve returns.

Ditto for resigning Yuli. Forget Abreu.

Ditto for signing Vasquez. Forget Maldy.

Almedyz Diaz currently has a lower OPS than Maldy. Oh, and he's injured again.

    1. Has he tried opening his eyes? :p
    2. Where is Carlos Beltran when you need him?

Beltran, a special adviser to Yankees general manager Brian Cashman, met with Gurriel during the series. Beltran told the 34-year-old Cuban to look at the baseball with both eyes.

"Carlos helped me a lot," Gurriel said Tuesday night through an interpreter. "He told me to look at the ball with two eyes and not with one eye. Just making that adjustment has helped me out."

Listening into the answer, Alex Bregman — a fine Spanish speaker — contributed that Gurriel's stance was somewhat closed off. He's opened the stance more, Bregman said, and seeing pitches is easier.

    Let's just go for broke.

    Get KC on the phone:

Chas McCormick, Ryne Stanek, Jacob Melton (#2) and Spencer Arrighetti (#9)

For Salvador Perez and Vinnie Pasquantino

Including Stanek keeps the Astros under the 1st CBA Threshold

    Lol at moving Peña down

Moves him to 2 hole and he gets hot, so let’s move him down lol

Abreu is a cleanup hitter, we have to show confidence in him…I can hear it now
