That's really more in the minds of certain fans than reality. They struggle to come up with anything substantive so they allude to problems that there's little to no recent evidence of..... they still go back to throwing soup when looking for criticisms.

He's coming off a season where he was a better catch and shoot 3 point shooter than Steph Curry and simple minded fans still want him to come off the bench to not outshine underwhelming overhyped teammates.

And KPJ is the best shooter on the team... he just had no help.

That's why they'd be seeking to get him some help

Sengun is the best player on the team.

If you are trying to trade him because coach said he’s looking for complimentary pieces then keep that same energy when we are expressly trying to spend FA money on wings and now you think kpj is a SF.

Not sure if this is sarcasm. Ime Udoka is anything but a father figure.

KPj is the least one I'm worried about being traded this upcoming season. At least until the trade deadline.

Dude didn't make that much to give up his bonus money to allow the team to spend more in free agency this summer. Shows a good standing with management.

If they told KPj's agent he could be traded....agent would have said get the ones that you plan to have long term make the sacrifice......Sengun, Green, Jabar

Can you imagine Sengun giving up bonus and then traded 3 months later

There’s no player on the team, regardless of how you feel about that player, with a more trade-able contract than KPJ. Outside of possible free agents we sign this off-season his contract will be the largest on the team and will likely be necessary in most possible trade scenarios for players making any kind of real money. And if a team likes him then his contract isn’t that bad going forward in that teams eyes, if a team has no interest in him but wants to trade assets to cut salary then his contract is setup exactly for something like that.

KPJ is going to have a really good start to the season then his challenge will be to not get demotivated when the honeymoon period with the new coach is up. I don't think he's going to start because Udoka doesn't strike me as someone who's going to run a lot of offense through Sengun right away, so he's going to need an excellent floor general with the core group of Green/Tari/Jabari/Sengun. Even if we draft Henderson #2 I anticipate Udoka will want an experienced PG who he can rely upon to expertly execute the offense and be able to make 3's.

Interestingly, CP3 is looking too old for the Suns in the playoffs and if that persists I have a feeling he might become available this summer. He has a very flexible and semi-reasonable contract with 2 years and $60m remaining (the final season non-guaranteed). I'm not a big CP3 fan but he has gotten in better shape recently and has shown he can mentor a young team when he was in OKC. His character would fit well as an extension of Udoka on the floor. While he's not a great defender himself anymore, he would still hold the team accountable and be able to teach our guards some things. SGA seemed to learn a lot from him in OKC to round out his game. A trade like that with a contender would most likely require us to send young assets to a 3rd team who would send some useful veterans to the Suns. Would they be interested in KPJ + KJ + mediocre first round pick? Summer will be interesting, lots of good players seem to be shaking loose from their situations.

By the sounds of it, we are definitely signing a defensive big and I hope the Celtics are bounced from the playoffs so that they might consider trading us Horford. He'd be a great two-way fit with this group, can help run the offense, doesn't require a ton of minutes and is very familiar with Udoka obviously. I like a Horford/Jabari/Sengun/Garuba/Tari rotation at PF/C.

I guess there's a decent chance KPJ actually responds well to Udoka's coaching and bounces back as a 6th man SG off the bench. He didn't learn the PG position in 2-3 years and all that says to me is it will take him a bit longer. By my estimate he'll be capable of running the PG spot in his mid to late twenties. We tried to fast track his progress but each person is different and it just turned out this was a bigger project than we anticipated. I can see him developing over a few years from a 6th man to a starter to an excellent two way starter. Just needs to gradually make better choices and improve his off ball game on both ends of the floor.

He had the nicest coach and he's about to get one of the toughest coaches. It's really going to be a learning experience for him and I hope he responds well to it.

Maybe he got told to chill or something, but note what KPJ's uncle says about who the most skilled player is...

    @maj21

Anyway - watched a couple more interviews with KPJ and he seems like a nice enough young man.

If the Rockets think it can work, let's see if it can - he certainly has some skills. If he can be a good 6th man and teammate, without pouting, and contribute to winning, great.

    I trust in Udoka.

Same could be said for Sengun. Maybe he’s a 6th man. We don’t know anything yet.
