Not as good as if S4 True Detective writer was writing and Elton John played BLADE.

Nice signing and pleased to see them going this direction, but man I don't know if this movie is salvageable with the nonstop changes.

Yet another rewrite hmmm...how much has been spent on this already? Shouldn't be that much as its only a 4 year preproduction...right?

Normally I'd agree with you, but Ali not happy, Marvel hires the writer of True Detective, which Ali starred in season 3. Ali suddenly happy.

He only has three properties in development, not a huge amount, IMO.

The original script was about a girl vampire who fights regular vampires and teams up with a were wolf..
Then they fired the writer for copying Underworld

A Blade movie seems straightforward with low expectations...vampires+ bloody violence + slutty vamps + superpowers = surefire cult classic. Covid might answer some delays but I'm wondering where they want this movie to fit in the bigger picture.

Hadn't seen this yet, but I find the writing and script change interesting. If they change the Blade character and opening story to be more of a detective noir type of movie but instead Blade is solving a vampire murder mystery... that could be interesting. Visually True Detective has been great too. Season 2 was laughable at times but thought they really rebounded great with season 3, and season 4 with Jodie Foster looks pretty solid as well.

This writer leans in heavily on location, location, location to set the tone and mood. Setting a Blade film in Romania with this writer, and a good sort of detective noir feel could be a fantastic change of pace from the GCI and volume shot nonsense we've gotten lately from Marvel.
