Who the hell said he was the best mobile qb in league? Do you know what “elite” means? When I think of elite moving qbs I think Vick, Lamar, Cunningham, DW4, Josh, Cam, etc. Mahomes is not an elite scrambler. Can he move yes but he’s not in that class as far as running. Stroud is similar to him when he decides to take off. Have no idea the bs you’re talking.

Tell me you don’t know what mobile means without telling me.
Running and mobility are two different concepts. I get that may be difficult for you to understand.
Stroud is not the athlete Mahomes is, regardless of their similar top end straight line speed

I don’t think it’s a difference in athleticism. Mahomes is just a more creative and improvisational runner and player in general. He’s also had much more practice at it. His offense in college basically allowed him to do whatever he wanted while Stroud’s offense was highly structured and his coach didn’t want him to run. I think Stroud could potentially be as good as Burrow at running, but I need to see more to confirm and we won’t see that until he’s in the nfl playing games.

I could see Burrow best case scenario. Burrow still has more fluidity and agility.
Mahomes is out of the question, Stroud hasn’t shown the ability to play off schedule, change arm angles or handle pressure……..consistently.
If he does, then we’re talking about a different story

Wide open rushing lane and couldn’t make anyone miss in open field. Got run down by a linebacker.
Still, it shows functional athleticism. 80+% of the starting QBs in the league can make that same play

To say he hasn’t after the Georgia game is just plain hate. You are really bizarre being that you are in a Texans forum dumping water on everyone’s fire and excitement. You seem like a miserable person. Just leave the Stroud thread lol.

Nobody can be mad about this. I would have picked Byrce too. I'm good with Stroud though. He should do better than what most think.

You can kiss my ass, you leave if you don’t like it.
No one is trying to ruin anyone’s excitement but y’all are getting out there with comps.

I think Stroud has a high floor. He still has warts that a lot of people are glossing over because they want to be overly optimistic.

Also, one game is not the norm. I don’t understand why you and others can’t grasp that.
No one is knocking him, he’s got Matt Ryan type skillset. You take that. But those of you claiming Mahomes are idiots

Ehh, he is a much better athlete than Matt Ryan and you are overrating Mahomes agility etc. I think everyone in here can agree with that. You have your opinion, which the majority of people disagree with, yet here we are still talking about it….

He did it the most against Georgia but there were other games he did the same thing… we need to stop acting like it’s the first time he’s ever took off from the pocket..

Watson was above average at making defenders miss but he wasn't an elite runner. He began to hold onto the ball way too much as well. Hopefully Stroud can avoid the big losses.

Run down by a linebacker? Are you watching the same video? That’s not even remotely close to what happened. We all get that you don’t like him and hate the pick, but at least give him credit where credit is due. That clip showed perfectly adequate athleticism for today’s NFL. And that entire Georgia game showed that he can make things happen when the pocket breaks down.
