Kong only stands a chance in the Godzilla movies, they roid him up to face off with the king. If he fought Godzilla at his actual movie size he would literally get squashed like a bug. Kong climbs skyscrapers, Godzilla knocks them over.
I don’t even see how this is a fair fight Godzilla gives Kong a case of the beats Kong has no chance, I’m sorry even in the Godzilla vs Kong movie, Godzilla was whooping that ass…had Kong’s life flashing right before his eyes Godzilla uses Kong as a backscratcher or balls him up and shoots a fadeaway into a building yelling out “Kobe!”
For the latest movie they made them similar in size. It used to be like. In Kong's defense, he was similar in size to the godzilla of the early years. (1954, 1974)
Weight being equal, the chances of Kong surviving the atomic breath are pretty small. If he could somehow get the drop on GZ he might be able to choke him out then kill him. If GZ’s jaw strength is like an apex predator, trying to break his jaw is out of question and GZ’s atomic breath is going to vaporize anything he tries to shove in his mouth. I think the 1 on 1 in the 2021 movie was pretty accurate. Kong was outclassed, held his own for a bit but was eventually overwhelmed. If it’s packs of Kongs vs packs of GZs it’s another story, because primates are going to work together.
Godzilla also has another limb in a tail and has dorsal plates. It would be very hard for King to take Godzilla from the back and apply a rear choke, or face crank. The only chance King Kong has is to use his superior primate brain, opposable thumbs and come up with some weaponry to even the odds.
