The Udoka knows Sengun lack of defense is a major problem

Sengun needs to get alot more athletic in the lateral defense side via plyo's and strengthening exercises. Every pre-game routine I see is them working-out Jabari with resistance band exercises. Focus on Shengun too

When you look at videos of Sengun when he was 16 (he was skilled but chubby, very heavy base), he has already gotten a lot more athletic. Still growing into being a man.

Signing harden for his superior playmaking something we sorely need. Pretty stupid if u thought or thought folks wanted harden for his defense

 

With that said, Harden would also immediately become one of our best interior defenders.

Sengun and the rest need to improve on that end and overall being they won 20 games back to back to back

 

Harden isn’t the only playmaker that’s available. And for upwards of 200 mil for a guy that’s been on a decline for the last 2 yrs. Pretty stupid to suggest signing him to a max when he’s a 1 trick pony (now).

He's the best playmaker avaliable. Looking at the alternatives, we are gonna end up overpaying for an inferior playmaker If we refuse to sign harden

 

All I think Udoka was saying is that he wants to add a defensive PF/C to what we already have to form a better overall big man rotation. People love to read too much into sh** and pit Rockets players against each other.

 

Sengun’s starting spot is now secured. I don’t think Udoka would like that very much.
