    Settle down easy, Coogfan.

I would imagine that the better player will get more of the playing time, and the lesser will get less.

While it's true, I'm a UH homer, I think what I said is pretty defensible.

Metchie is trying to come back from a torn ACL and cancer....and it's just a fact that he wasn't as productive in college as Dell.

I’m interested to see how this offense is like, if this offense wants their WRs to block, might be an issue with this pick? Otherwise excited to see what tank can do!

He's also not a midget, so he's got that going for him, which is nice.

I hope both Dell and Metchie are fun as hell to watch next season.

I watch Tank’s tape and I’m just baffled he wasn’t taken in at least the 2nd. Have to think he’s the “next” Tyreek Hill had he ran a 4.3-4.4 40…?

He runs faster than his time suggest on the field. Blazer.

Super quick. I think if he was either 2 inches taller or 20 lbs heavier he’s first round pick

The fact that CJ and him have already talked and the confidence Dell has in himself that he is on par with the receivers at Ohio St is insane. Love the confidence

"Nowhere near the receiver" how do you figure that? Are AAC WR's who clawed from the SWAC and junior college now better than 4 star SEC players based on a statline from inferior competition? Metchie was a difference maker for Alabama and worthy of his 2nd round draft slot. I understand the fan support of hometown guys, but like I stated "if healthy" Metchie will be the slot guy for all things football related AND the feel good story of his health scare and subsequent return to the field. I think Dell will get some chances and should probably do well in a return man role, but he's a guy that you hold your breath when he gets hit. Reminds me of KeKe Coutee and we all saw how that played out and even as small as Coutee was he still had 3 inches and 30 pounds on Dell.

Since its so easy to find and roster "straight line" players I'll be looking forward to watching who that turns out to be for this team. It would be optimal to have a guy on the field who could take advantage of CJ's arm even in a decoy capacity.

we definitely need a better speed option on the outside. If we start out well maybe they make an in season trade

For being such an easy fix the only relevant guy available that I can see might be Sammy Watkins if he's still got his legs. I suppose Slowik could use some stacks and allow some leverage to dictate open routes for some YAC plays which would be fine. CJ has a legitimate cannon - lets use it!

Tank Dell oozes Houston's rap culture. It is just a perfect fit.

I really hope the Texans see him as potentially a high volume reception type of player much like the Chiefs did a long time ago with their 5th round WR.

Metchie is underrated as an outside receiver as well. Great route runner, plenty fast, and I believe Caserio mentioned how he had actually improved his strength and speed over the year, so I am not expecting him to have any post cancer issues.

I don’t think it is a reach at all. He is better than Metchie IMO.

What are his negatives? His size and he can drop some passes.

What are his positives? Exceptional punt returner, extremely explosive on a football field, surprisingly strong at the line, runs excellent routes, very hard worker, one of the 2-3 most productive receivers in college and excellent feel for the game.

His 10 yard speed, his ability to move in space and get open all are elite.

If he stays healthy, he is going to be at least productive if not even more.

Man, I didn’t realize, Dell lead the NCAA in receiving yards AND touchdowns. And he was second in receptions by just 1 (also cool to see Hutchinson in 3rd for receptions and 8th in yards)…

I really think we may have come away with some gems here.
