Winning is more satisfying with players obtained through the draft.

Nobody said this garbage when Harden and CP3 dominated in the 2018 season.

so much hypocrisy and for what? Players on the worst team in the NBA. You can’t make this up. Tanking has caused brain rot in the fan base.

I absolutely hate this rumor so much!

I bet you this is coming from the owner. He’s the one trying to have all the big name players.

We haven't even seen Jalen with a proper coach so this makes no sense at all.

One could argue that Michael Redd had a better career than Steve Francis. This is the thing about hyper-athletic scorer's upside. He might or might not reach the ceiling.

But at least Francis when he was traded was an all-star level player. Green is still quite green at this point.

    .
Francis was in community college at the age Green was a sophomore in the NBA.

Yeah, but he was implying that teams should build around their drafted players because of the higher satisfaction. I don't even think higher satisfaction with drafted players is even true. Lakers fans actually used to hate Lebron because of the love for Kobe, but once he signed they embraced him and wanted to trade all of their drafted players for AD. There is even a certain smugness in their fanbase about being able to sign all the free agents they want.

A lot of them still hate Lebron that hasn't changed lol So I think that proves the point.

After the hiring of Udoka and sitting on it a bit. I REALLY dont want to trade KPJ/Green/Sengun at all until at least February.

Each of these players have flaws but tremendous potential. They have been dealt a **** hand in pairing their first couple years with Silas and the tank.

I don’t think that it’s probable that all three players overcome these issues, but I think that the value lies in seeing what the new direction prompts out of them.

If we are going for a “star” in trade then let it be for picks, Tate, Washington, Garuba or Martin. I yes, we may not have the draft D pull that off, but you have to remember that the team trading the star would also probably receive a large trade exception, if said star was going into our caproom.

I view our core as Tari/Bari/Green/KPJ/Sengun.

We either add Wembayama or Henderson to that or try to trade the pick. If we don’t get great value in dealing our lottery pick, then Miller or Thompson are still pieces that fit. I think a lot of it for Miller depends on. Can he be the guy that guards a number one option on the perimeter?

#3-5+Brooklyn Firsts+ a mix of Tate/Washington/Garuba/Martin should be able to bring in anything available.

Agree with everything except the KPJ part, @Francis3422, but willing to give it a try under Udokay

and Steve was a better scorer and playmaker in college than Green is right now. Steve was ROTY and crossed AI. Might wanna look up the player and brush up on his talent.

Pretty sure Jalen crossed a few stars his rookie year. As it was pointed it his rookie year he was older. You are comparing a 19 year old to a 22 year old lol

Say what you want about Stevie’s career but he was one of the top PGs in the league when we traded him.

Trading Green for Brown is closer to trading Mobley for Ray Allen.

Steve Francis playing in this era would be Westbrook-lite. Forget D and play making, Green doesn’t even shoot league average yet and y’all ready to crown him as the franchise cornerstone.
