Our RBs and TEs aren't the best. Maybe with all our cap space next year we can sign a great free agent.
You don’t want a top heavy rn room. We’re a pierce injury away from being dead last is all I’m saying.
Well San Fran's ALWAYS been able to find good runners for the ZBS with late round picks and udfa's. Kubes' broncos too! I agree we need more quality runners. We have Pearce who's a top 10ish back and Singletary who's a fine backup. We REALLY need 4 good runners to get through the year like we want to run the ball. (have to account for possible injuries) If I had my way we'd get Keaton Mitchell and D. McBride. But the truth remains that rb is the EASIEST position to fill late in the draft and udfa.
On the RB situation. I wouldn't be surprised if we already have a local guy locked up with a UDFA deal. Deneric Prince is from Manvel and would fit that profile.
Well McBride's gone. (Z. Kuntz too - grrr) Backs still available that will improve our roster. Keaton Mitchell Sean Tucker K. McIntosh
Last targets: Carrington Valentine - CB Bryce Ford-Wheaton - WR Crazier picks: Dontay Demus- WR Stretch/concern but what the heck: Sean Tucker - RB
Most teams are only carrying 3 RBs on the 48 man gameday roster/ 53 man active roster. We currently have 3 guys. We'll bring in potentially 2-3 7th rounders/UDFAs and the best one will either replace Boone or get put on the practice squad.
While I agree that you need quality backs, the chiefs just won the Super Bowl with 1 solid between the tackles rb they got in the 7th and McKinnon who was a glorified pass catching rb, so saying you need 4 is a massive stretch
Well it wasn't for lack of product at least this year. There were at least 10-15 quality tight ends in the draft that can be starters or quality backups and we didn't roll the dice on any of them. The last good one just went off the board to the jest (Zack Kuntz). RB the zbs usually doesn't spend a lot of high resources in them because they feel they can find what they need (1 cut runner) late and cheap. We have to trust them to get the right players whenever they can. It'll take time to get this roster full of quality guys.
A question. Is Stroud supposed to be the opening day starter. Or is he to sit a spell and be groomed.
So. I don't LOVE the trade for Anderson only because they had to give up so much, but all in all this feels like an excellent overall draft for the Texans. One of the best I can remember. It's nice to finally feel some optimism towards the organization for a change.
Tucker’s football career might be over or short and is why he’s falling though. Heart condition discovered at the combine. Talent is there or he’d be long gone, but that’s why it’s possible to take a flyer in the 7th if you don’t have any other targets.
You don’t need to run when you have Mahomes. That rb room does nothing with anyone else at qb. Yeah 4 is an exaggeration but if we’re getting back to that Kubiak style offense the run game makes everything go. We gonna need at least 1 more SERIOUS threat out the backfield
Missed Mo Ibrahim and Lew Nicholls were still on the board. If either goes undrafted, we should kick the tires. If we need a RB, would feel good about either at our spot.
Was wondering what was up with him. Looked REALLY explosive from the film I watched on him. I'd sure take a flyer on him. And the Ravens just traded up and took one of those flyers on A. Vorhees. Redshirt him for a year till he's over his injury and you have a 3rd,4th rd value. Smart play.
