Hedging bets or interior depth. I'm cool with it .

“…the injuries piled up over his career: missed final four games of his sophomore season (and 2021 spring practices) because of a Lisfranc fracture in his left foot that required surgery (November 2020); suffered a torn pectoral muscle in his left shoulder during offseason weight training (March 2022) and then a sprained right foot (August 2022), which forced him to miss the 2022 season opener (and play hurt in several other games); suffered a minor hip injury during Senior Bowl week (February 2023) and didn’t play in the game.”

Ugh. I'm not excited about that pick. I wanted a CB who comes without an injury history. Hopefully he stays healthy and can contribute.

Another theme continues with Patterson by the way - he was also a team captain.

So we use a next year's 6th to trade down from 191 to 205 while adding pick 248.

Doesn't make any sense when there are healthy players at several other positions we need.

Happy with the draft this year, looking forward to pre-season.

Best pick on day 3 for me is To'oTo'o but happy with the rest of the guys.

When I 1st read this I thought OMG, Nick's getting smart!
He's trading down and getting a pick next year! Awesome!

Then I realized it was US that traded the next year's pick and............c'mon, you know what word's coming. Here's a hint it starts with an O.....and ends with a VERPAID!!!

I have no problem with the player, but like always Nick gets pantsed in the deal.
Did he give up two 7th's(1 this year, 1 next) for one 7th?
    No he gives up a 7th AND a 6th for a 7th!

Admittedly compared to some of his other deals this one seems positively benign, but he's still LOSING the transaction!
