Until I see this hard working gym rat mini Kobe/MJ mentality I was promised from Green I’ll take Ant

I’m kinda skeptical of Jalens work ethic at this point. He didn’t look like he did anything last off season improve and looks completely unbothered by the losing for a team he is suppose to be the guy on

Really? His muscle growth? His ball security and tighter handles? His ability to get to the rim and draw contact and fight through it? His pnr playmaking?

His consistent jump shooting the only aspect people look at when they analyze "improvement".

The fact that his team has a worse net rating when he's on the bench this year when that was the opposite case last year shows how his play contributes more to winning.

Is jump shooting inconsistency could merely just be attributed to added muscle mass that effected his touch.

Nothing should suggest you you that he doesn't have strong work ethic.

Lol I give him no credit in muscle growth. He’s a 20 year old growing adult. That should be automatic. His handles did not look any tighter. Still looks sloppy to me. As the 2nd pick and a shooting guard you should have above average handles

Jalen did get a lot more aggressive attacking the basket. He did man up in that aspect but that was about the only improvement I saw.

Jalen to me just seems like he could walk a very fine like between Kobe & Social media pretty boy

Not a KPJ/Green debate but KPJ was at Ime presser and seems very invested in this organization where Jalen is at Coachella with all the tik tok influencers

His handles definitely look tighter. Wtf are you talking about dude?

You can't up your usage and time on the ball so drastically from year one to town and maintain the same turnover rate without improving basic ball security.

And it's visually very apparent. If you can't see the increase in his ball security and handles from year one to two then you simply aren't watching games or are incapable of judging what "handles" are.

And there it is. He posts on social media therefore he doesn't have the signs male grindset attitude. God damn this culture wars bs is frying brains

Agreed, I dont want it to happen and hate this rumor coming out. But eff it, I'd accept the trade because Rockets would still be hella good. Would just have to watch Jalen Green become a media favorite in Boston

An atomic bomb that would set this place ablaze for weeks.

I swear if these zoomers were on here when we traded Steve Francis for T-Mac Clutch would have just shut the site down

Idk if it's just a sports fan thing or a Houston fan thing... Rockets fan thing...

...but the impatience of you lot absolutely kills me sometimes. Jaylen Brown isn't the player you sacrifice the future for and neither is uncle Harden.

Jalen Brown packaged correctly is. Harden is not.

I mean if we traded Green for like a guy like Tatum, Luka, SGA I don't think too many people would have problems with it. That would be roughly comparable to trading for T-Mac.

Trading Green for Jaylen Brown though? That would be like if the Rockets back then had traded Stevie for Michael Redd. And people would be correct to be up in arms based on all the information they had at the time.

This article was obviously just click bait. If any of the big 3 get traded it will be Sengun, which I hope doesn’t happen. I could only see it if we land Wemby. We could then shift a muscled up Jabari to Center on defense.

I don't believe it was clickbait. Marc Stein also confirmed on Chris Broussard/Rob Parker's podcast that in interviews with coaches the subject of Harden came up, so we know Fertitta and Stone are hoping to sign Harden in the offseason. I don't think the Rockets are actively shopping Green, but if they get Harden, they're going to try to build a superteam around him. I believe Stone would make any player on the roster including Green available for trade if they can bring in another established star to pair with Harden.

The problem is the other franchises do not view Green as highly as the homeboys are unless he lights it up in the playoffs which will take a lot more time.

Trades are never going to happen anyway.

A "superteam".... :confused:Unless it's players at the caliber of Luka, Halliburton, Booker, Giannis etc there is no "superteam". It's going to more resemble the over the hill Nets team that was assembled when the Celtics swindled them. That is begging to be mid for a decade.

A team featuring Harden, Brown, and roleplayers absolutely screams "first round exit". And that's if Harden is still the exact same player he was this year. Which is a pretty big if. Only way that would maybe make sense would be if we get Wemby, although even then, Wemby is extremely young and has some stuff to work on and probably won't be ready to be a key contributor on a championship team for awhile.

I agree. I hate the idea of trading away our core young players to build a lesser version of the Nets superteam that went up in flames. It would be very shortsighted of Stone and Fertitta if that's the plan. This is the main reason I'm adamant about not bringing Harden back. It's going to severely hurt the rebuilding process.

I'd be fine with Harden coming here if the goal was to have him as a leading vet for the young core rather than coming here to be paired with a team of other current mid stars and over the hill superstars just to be first and second round fodder as the upper ceiling for the next half decade.

I like Harden as much as the next guy, but a 34 year old with now an extensive injury history is not a "core piece". Sign him in FA, sure, but don't trade the young guys for a bunch of thirty-somethings.

There’s no Kyrie or made-of-glass KD on this proposed super team. Big difference.
