That tracks. Their MO seems to be lateral and underneath plays that soften defenses as games go on. I think our offense will largely follow that blueprint. Stroud can sling it, but he is going to need to be a timing passer first. I'm excited about the potential of our offense for the first time in a LONG time. If we can get a TE that can contribute I'll be over the moon.
Tank blows up all over the field. He checks every box but one, size. There have been plenty of undersize wide receivers have amazing careers. You guys are about to witness the new fan favorite. The fact that he wanted to be here makes me happier even more as a Texan fan. I get a slight Earnest Givens vive with him.
Hopefully Tank will be our TY HIlton and can return the favor for us and TORCH the AFC South! I do wonder though if Tank wins a starting job will Demeco still let him return kicks? Plus since Metchie and Tank both play primarily from the slot who goes outside? Tank I would guess.
We've rarely drafted 'this kind of player' before (an undersized, hyper-productive slot receiver and special teamer). The closest analogs are... KeShawn Martin - never broke 800 yards in college, 10 career TDs, almost exclusively special teams in the NFL Keekee Coutee - one monster year at TTU, looked to be coming online late in year 3 but was always plagued by injuries only managing 8 starts over his final 2 seasons
And that's the thing, it has to be a uniquely uncommon talent for a player of his stature to be drafted, that's why it's hard to find comparisons. You could say the same about the midget QB that went first overall.
tank will be an outlier if he’s successful for sure. He’s similar to Wes welker height but not sure on weight
Tank is coming in an inch shorter and 20 pounds lighter than Welker. That said, Tank is a LOT quicker, and a lot more athletic than Welker....but they have the same kind of role on the field. That's exactly how I think Tank needs to be used.....well, how the Patriots used him, not as a kicker like Miami did.

I seem to recall a lot of play action, reverse bootleg action where Schaub would come out the backside, load up, and heave it downfield for AJ80 to fair catch
Tank is larger, quicker, and overall more athletic than Trindon Holliday, he also is an infinitely superior route runner than Holliday. Holliday has more straight line speed though.
