Sengun haters celebrating in that 'UdOkA wAnTs To TrAde SeNgUn' thread must be quiet now.

Let it be known that whilst I would trade Jalen in the blink of an eye for the right deal, I'm really not quite sure this has any merit.

I find it hard to fathom a player wanting to go from Finals appearances to trying to avoid being the worst team in the league.

I forgot that Boston is a team that definitely doesn't play defense, or value defence, or expect their players to actually try on defense.

Nah, I don’t buy it. At least they weren’t serious talks going on. I think Tillman and Stone wanna give the young guys a year under Ime to see how they look in a new system and a new direction. The vets they bring in will be complementary players. We could use a vet starting SF. KMJ is a backup type player to me. Having a good vet Wing would help these guys out a lot. If we don’t get Wemby but end up with Scoot, we gotta bring in a vet PG to help tutor him (and 6th man KPJ).
This “phase 2” of the rebuild is going to be exciting. Good start with coach Udoka.

This whole scenario sounds fake. I’m shocked it has been talked about as much as it has. There is no way the Rockets are that stupid to sell low on a 20 yr old 22/4/4 dude.

Ouch, I don't like the idea of having wasted a full year of tanking plus getting lucky enough in the lotto to get the #2 overall pick to just trade it for a guy on a different timeline. This feels rushed, I would prefer building with free agents and not trading guys we tanked a full year for that you can potentially get later and giving up less. I also really wanted to see what Ime and his new staff could do for Jalen before giving up on him. It also depends on the draft this year as well, if we end up with a top 2 pick we will still have enough younger guys to hopefully build around.

Jalen likely would have been ROY or finished second this year, and is around the same age a many of the guys in this years rookie class. Definitely seems risky to let him go without seeing what Ime can do.

Stones knows Green personally. Stone also know what Green is capable of on the court. Stone knows what the coach he just hired wants in a player. Maybe Stone knows that coach & Green aren’t a match.

Green allegedly was the one vouching for more structure and wanting a PG according to the narrative put out by media agents via his camp

So that would mean Stone listened and delivered Green's type of coach request, but you may be right about what Stone is allegedly thinking

Maybe every player is on the trade block except for the player who showed up to the intro conference for Udoka

It’s already been debunked by Rockets and multiple viable media …. Dude was posting clickbait and it worked on a bunch of idiots

well, so what is it that you call BS then? That’s exactly what was published. Rockets are willing to include Jalen Green for star talent.
It’s not BS, it’s a "duh!" and a "nothingburger". Of course Rockets would include Green for a star, but why would anyone want to do it?

It didn't say Green personally asked for more structure but a source close to him.

Agent, family and friends, basketball acquaintances etc.

I would much rather see what Ime can do with the young guys this season before we break up the gang. If he truly wants to be here, Brown can come next year without costing us any assets. This team is not contending next year even if they traded for Brown so why give up assets when he can sign with us in a year?

I’d also like to take this opportunity to debunk any rumors and clickbaits floating around saying that I’d be willing to cheat on my wife with Beyoncé.

Jake Fisher is legit and was the first one to call Dejounte Murray to Hawks way before anyone else last year. Anyone doubting this is nuts. There’s absolutely merit to it.

Meh. I'm not buying into any rumors at this point. I don't personally like it, but I do think all scenarios should be on the table for this team this offseason.

We wasted two seasons by not putting our young players in a structured environment to see who should stick for our future. The time to consolidate our assets and acquire quality veterans is now. And we are still guessing the upside of every single guy we got in the past two years. This is the cost of intentionally creating chaos in order to tank.

Edwards, SGA, and Luka about the only players I’d trade Green for

Not trading for a 27 year old Brown who will only get us maybe a play in or first round exit. By the time the kids are old enough to truly compete year after year Brown will already be in his 30’s.

Stupidest thing team could possibly do

He definitely is not at the moment. Maybe in a couple of years that could change but there is currently no argument for Green being better than current Ant.
