Sounds to me like Marvin wants to be a Texan. Everybody wants to play here now.

Hyatt knows one route… just run straight. Not too surprised he fell as far as he did.

He's Dameon Pierce, but truckin' and givin' us YACs when we need it at WR.

Something we desperately need on this offense.

There’s really nothing not to love about the guy. Was it a reach? Yeah. Maybe because of his size, but the dude is all heart. I’m good with it!

Metchie is an elite route runner. With these two, they're going to be teleporting wide open all over the field.

Yup something he does really well. Not hating on the pick but think we are missing a vertical threat while Metchie and Dell seem to have a very similar skill set

Majority of the time this offense isn't going deep down the field.

Watching his highlights he seems like a very exciting player. It will be interesting to see if his sharp cuts are as effective in the faster NFL. One thing that drives me crazy about WR is when they catch a short pass and then run backwards hoping to break a big play, and then end up losing yards. I could see that as a possibility with this kid, but hopefully his style works well. Watching that 12 minute highlight reel, it is definitely impressive how much separation he routinely gets. But also his ball skills seemed pretty good when it was decent coverage as well. The type of player fans love to root for.

With McCaskill out last year, Tank basically was the offense for Houston in 2022.

He was 25% of their total yards and 30% of the team's total TDs... all the while being the primary threat the defenses gameplanned for.

Despite all that burden, he rarely let it cause him to create negative plays. He has a pretty good football IQ and doesn't try to get too fancy.

Disagree here. Assuming Slowik is installing the Shanahan offense, we should definitely see our share of deep shots. DeMeco is going to run the ball, but part of that is to set up play action much like we with Kubiak and Schaub.

I'm sure some analytics guru could tell us which NFL offenses go deep the most.

At first blush it does not look like SF is a very vertical offense.

After thriving in the short-target, big gain offense upon which the San Francisco 49ers have long relied to prop up Jimmy Garoppolo, Purdy tried to blow up the Seattle Seahawks on the opening drive of his Wild Card debut. During the regular season, a stretch in which the former third-string QB went 5-0, Purdy’s 6.6 air yards per target ranked 33rd among 37 quarterbacks with at least 200 plays under their belt. San Francisco’s game plan was clear; set up an overwhelmed passer with easy throws, then let his playmakers carve out space after the catch.
