Nah, his final words redeemed our sinful voyeuristic selves like a Priest at the end of a confessional.

    JERRY! JERRY! JERRY!

    USA! USA! USA!

    RIP

What I always respected about Jerry is that he knew he sold out his product from topical and sophisticated to trashy and raunchy for the sake of the bag, and was unapologetic about it. I think maybe deep down he was a little embarrassed that his legacy ended up being the host of the fight show, but he owned it.

And like one poster earlier said, the "Final Thought" segment was a way for him to showcase his intelligence in a way that said "hey folks, this is just entertainment, remember that. There's more important stuff out there. "

And he owned it in a very self depreciating way, which I always got a kick out of.

I think the fact that he portrayed such a straight laced, nerdy, wanna be serious talk show host who at the same time was hosting such a bizarre, over the top, circus of a show is what made the show so great. That's the reason it outlasted all the other trashy talk shows of the 90's. It was because he hosted it.

One of the people who first exposed that this element of society actually existed out there and that we shouldn't be surprised 40'ish years later when they're all out in the open. lol.

I never watched the show because I thought no way people like that existed in that quantity in society. I thought most of it was fabricated. RIP visionary.

Most if not all of it was totally staged. You watched for the same reason you watched wrestling. You know it's fake, but it's still entertaining.

Your metabolic health including insulin resistance (type 2 diabetes) etc is the progenitor of cancer by about 95 percent or more. Understanding insulin levels and how your cells can resist them after years of over consumption of carbs and sugars and neglecting metabolic health via holistic means. Mainstream medicine is big business and they are about prescribing meds that circumvent the problem rather then addressing the root of the cause. Research proper fasting after a nutritious complete ketogenic meal.

There's more to it including consuming omega 6 oils and transfers but this thread isn't fully discuss it. Less than 10 percent of Americans are metabolically healthy driving health care costs to $4.6 trillion annually due to chronic diseases.

I can't be the only one but doesn't this belong in the D&D? I mean his show was all about debate.

They always had the ghetto segment guests then the trailer park guests. It was pure comedy.

He led an interesting life and a lot of people forget he was mayor of Cincinnati. Agree with some of the other posters that his show foreshadowed a lot of what culture and politics became. His politics weren’t aligned though with cruelty or bombast but he understood those things were very profitable.
