What's one thing Green will realistically do better than Brown? He's more athletic but does that translate to winning? I wouldn't make the trade because so much is still up in the air but y'all be circle-jerking into a cup if Green ever becomes a player at Brown's level.

Score? Get to the line? Playmake?

Idk why y’all act like Jaylen Brown is some insurmountable feat…I like Brown, but he is a 2x All-Star at age 26…no All-NBA yet (maybe he makes it this year)…no POTM…no MVP votes

y’all talk like he’s some top 10 superstar

Jalen Green is better at making dumb people believe he's Kobe Bryant.

I think the Blue Edwards / Melvin Booker comparison is a real slap in the face to Green fans.

Stop trying to stir the pot bro.

The dream is a tandem of Green and Brown. Rather not entertain a swap between the two. We have plenty of assets to bargain a fair deal. Green has the ability to become one of the best shooting guards in the league. Favorably the only guys capable of moving the Rox off Jalen should be Luka, Giannis, or the Durant types of talent. I'm pretty sure Detroit feels the same way about Cade and Orlando with Banchero. It's too early to move talents with such promise when looking at the end game. The Rockets should also keep their lottery pick with guys like Scoot and Brandon Miller in this years draft. If push comes to shove, continue to grow organically like the Golden State Warriors. If Brown really wants to be in Houston I could see him signing with us during free agency.

Second season of Jaylen Brown vs. second season of Jalen Green:

    Green's shooting is inefficient.

I'd say the jury is still out.

I have a feeling that year three will be huge for Jalen under Ime (we’re on a first name basis). This kid has been mishandled by Silas and still manages to show how special he can be. Can you imagine how he can blossom when there is actually a game plan in place, the pecking order is clear and everyone is playing team ball? I’m having a hard time understanding wanting to give up on a kid averaging 22 ppg in his second season, with a less than ideal supporting cast, when the opposing defense is focusing on him nightly. Plus we’d be gutting our resources to do it. Not to bright.

    You evaded the question
It's not an excuse .. . it is simply comparison
What was Jason Tatum doing at that age? Jaylen Brown? Dame Lillard? Steph Curry? James Harden? Jimmy Butler?
WHAT SUPER STAR WAS KILLING THE GAME IN THEIR SECOND YEAR . .. NOT NAMED LEBRON, MJ or KD???

    Stop evading

You start out by making the excuse of his age to cover for the fact that he's been disappointing in his first two seasons.

You want to focus on his age rather than what level of play he's shown....and that's because his performance hasn't been good.

He's currently a low efficiency volume chucker that is one of the worst defensive players in the entire league. You can't just say "he's young" and waive all of that away as if it's okay.

Could he morph into a better player one day? Sure....but as of now, he's been pretty awful.

Run Away Rookie of the year
    and probably 20/10 players
    Wemby Pts and Rebounds
    Scoot Pts and Assist

In their first year or they are a bust

ONE MORE THING: Does coaching matter in this debate to you guys?
Are you giving up on a player that you all seem to agree had poor coaching?

Look at their scoring profile. Brown had 38% of his fgs unassisted and Green 60%. So one had shot selection of a role player and the other of a number one scoring option that self-creates.

It's not really easy to come up with a comparison, there's not many players that pathetic defensively who are allowed to play enough to have significant enough samples to not be skewed one way or the other in their early seasons.

Typically someone as bad as Green would still be riding the bench.

    Maybe Lou Williams?

Interesting. A guy that can't get out of the 1st round with an All Star Center, a guy that's barely sniffed the first round this year, fat worse Harden, Tatum (ok) and smaller Kris Middleton.

Outside of Tatum that's a no from me dawg. Brown has worse handles than Green.

One had KPJ as the "point guard" lol.

Run the ball through Alpi, Green benefits. The stats show it.

Get a real PG and run a lot of plays through Alpi, Green will benefit even more.
