There are fewer holes in this roster than you think. They filled many in FA. Right now, they need a Center and another WR....both can be drafted in the 3rd. 2024, they are protected to have $135 million in cap before any signings or extensions. They will be fine without that first and 3rd next in 2024.

I think next year this time people will have appreciated the trade because if there is anyone to get the most out of Will Anderson it will be Demeco.

Demeco is such a creative dude on defense and I think the big reason we traded up is because Caserio sees that. Anderson saw that when he was practically drooling at playing for Demeco after meeting with him. Anderson sure does have his flaws to be sure but a smart technically sound with some of the best hands in the draft is going to thrive under Demeco. I'd be shocked if he didn't. He's going to be moved all over the place and he's going to exploit whatever weakness the opposing line has and on top of this is going to be a great leader that makes everyone on the defense slightly better.

He's a really versatile player which is why he doesn't 'pop'
on film because he does most things averagely well. Anderson is just one of those players that's in the right place and right time over and over again, that's no coincidence. I think Anderson landed in the perfect place and now we're going to see the value of having a smart and creative coach on the defensive side of the ball.

So I like the trade. Yeah we could have gotten Anderson at 2 and Levis at 12 but I think Stroud is the much better prospect with even a higher ceiling than Levis and obviously it looks like every other NFL team agrees...although I do think if the Rams had a pick they might have gone with Levis.

While I like stars, I'd rather have a SWARM.

Do you expect more trades from Caserio or do you think he's finished for 2023.

I’ve b****ed for years that this franchise is stale and boring and makes the safest decision almost every time….so I’m gonna lean hard into enjoying them swinging for the fences, because I’ve said for so long they’re too afraid to fail.

I do think, like it or not, at some point Nick had to swing. We see other teams sitting there and things falling perfect (I.e. Philadelphia) but we marginalize their swings historically that found them there (ex. Drafting Hurts when you had Wentz).

No, they won't always pan out, and part of me is really still concerned with what he did, but I can at least appreciate the notion that if we just kept kicking the can with "ok" guys we'd find ourselves perpetually in the middle with all of the other teams who fail to take a risk too. This isn't trading Hopkins for a bag of beans stupid, but if he went completely safe and we failed he would be fired. If he doesn't swing, he's fired. Might as well take a crack at some point and hope to hit it out of the park. Just don't stand there and watch strike three go flying down the middle.

I wonder if Davis Mills has any value whatsoever to another team as a backup. He feels completely unnecessary now and if something like him + 3rd lets us move up, that'd be the ideal situation. Give up less picks but give up a player that is no longer needed to climb up some and get a Center or TE or CB.

Man, these two guys are extremely well spoken. Very thoughtful and impassioned responses. Better answers than a lot of veterans would give. Singing praises of DeMeco and the culture he’s already built here. These guys are going to be ideal faces of the franchise.
