I said something similar a few weeks back. Nobody knows ****. I can't imagine being so wildly confident in my opinion about something like this, when the guys paid millions to do it get it wrong alllllllll the time! The track record of QBs taken in the first round is spotty at best. I can handle the disagreement about picks on a certain level...but when it turns into, "you have no idea what you're talking about, and I'm right" it falls completely on deaf ears with me.
Yep. Just simply look at all the detractors on Mahomes when he came out... and he's by far the best QB of this generation and on track to be Brady/Montana/Marino/Elway all in one. And he went 10th in the draft...lol.
Details on Wilson: Combine: 6' 2" 213 4.58 40 yard 26 catches 16.1 per catch Career: 134 Catches 1,662 Yards 12.4 ypc 11 TDs LanceZ has him as a 4-5 round grade. Not saying he's a star but maybe a solid rotation player. Biggest issues with him are likely playing time and route tree... more upside than Noah Brown if he can block at some point... His combine performance slightly better than Robert Woods as expected. He is bigger... similar ypc in college... Just not used as much as Woods was at USC. Maybe Woods would be best case for Wilson....
I think the thought is that they may try to move to the second round this evening in order to get a WR or OL. Pretty deep WR class in the second round. Jaylin Hyatt Mingo Dell Mims One of those guys could easily be the best WR on the Texans this year. Judging by WR body types on the 49'ers I would assume Mingo would be there target if they are going to go for it.
Agreed. From what I saw, both Mahomes and Rodgers can send it 70yds in the air, but CJ's longest at the combine was about 64yds in the air (compared to Bryce's 50-55 in the air).
Wasn't exited about the pick until after the Will Anderson trade. Now I'm all aboard with Stroud for some reason.. lol
When the NFL had 'longest throw' competitions during the pro bowl Randall Cunningham had the longest throw recorded at 76 yards. Followed by Favre at 75 yards, Bledsoe at 74 and Jeff George threw one 72 yards. Unless you were being sarcastic and my radar didnt go off!
I'm sorry but I LOVE me some Chris Ballard! SO refreshing, honest and truthful, unlike our gm who speaks in vagaries, generalities and gm-speak without actually saying a #$%^&*@ thing!
I would absolutely love for someone to start an analytics website that tracked both the accuracy of mock drafters, the accuracy of draft graders, and the draft record of GMs. I think what we would come to see is that nobody knows a damned thing about anything. Yet somehow everyone still spins their wheels and flaps their gums incessantly about this stuff for months exactly as the NFL wants it. Lol.
I think if you may see a trend of mock drafters being correct about certain teams over time. Rather than one mocker getting it all right.
To be fair we’re all kinda losers for being on a Texans forum on a Rockets website when they’ve won like 6 games the last 3 years lol
