I just reread the thread again. The praise was tame at best. You had 1 poster who you MIGHT be able to accuse of “fanboi-ing” after game 1. There was far more talk of his inability to finish at the rim, praise of Embiid and Bridges than praise of Harden. You have created a boogeyman or boogeymen in your head and they don’t exist. Or at the least don’t exist nearly to the extent you believe.
Reports are flaring out in the middle of an important playoff series, that he wants to come to houston. He can teach our young players how to quit and go to strip clubs.
Every champion needs some luck to win a championship. This season, the gods are favoring the Sixers. James, you will probably never have a better chance than this again as a key player on a championship team. Milwaukee is out. Boston has a rookie HC who is struggling against Snyder despite having the much better team. The West is weaker than it's ever been minus the Suns. He got a matchup in the first round against arguably a team that should not have been in the playoffs. He shot poorly and Embiid missed a game but they swept Brooklyn easily despite the Nets giving 110% effort every second of the series. Harden has never had a better 14 players around him. If Harden is ever going to do it, this is his shot. I know it mostly rests on Embiid, but that should make his job easier because most of the time Embiid performs and performs VERY well. Much better than relying on CP3. I really hope they do it, I think it would be amazing for him and it would immediately put me on board with bringing him back to Houston because it will make him into a different player and his championship experience would benefit us if he has it. Harden needs to find enough juice to carry them to a win for 1 game at the beginning of round 2 so Embiid can get healthy, then hand it off and facilitate. If he can do that it'll do wonders for his legacy.
