I believe some said experts may have had him best overall on their big board, Eagles landed him and that other Georgia freak edge rusher, those are both A grades, B+++ at worst
With Levis still on the board, that #33 pick could get incredible value (granted Pittsburgh is currently in control). Levis is now good value. So are Mayer and Joey Porter Jr.
Well, that's disappointing, the Browns pick will potentially be a better pick than the Texans own pick, but they wanted to make a splash and they did it. That's always going to be costly. I think it's important to note that the same people who are upset about the price paid to trade up are the same people who would have been even more upset if the Texans didn't draft one of the two guys they got. It would either be too much of a gamble on a QB that is a moron, passing on the best defensive player in the draft....or it would have been complaints about not drafting a potential "franchise QB". There will always be complaints, but I fully support the Texans going all in.
https://www.houstonchronicle.com/te...fl-draft-day-trade-will-anderson-17922489.php “It’s an important distinction that the Texans sent the Cardinals their own first-round pick in 2024, a person with knowledge of the terms said, and held on to the final first-rounder acquired from the Browns. They are essentially betting on themselves, believing their record will not have them picking in the top three again for the third straight season.” https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/36307434/texans-select-cj-stroud-no-2-overall-pick-nfl-draft “The Texans still own the Cleveland Browns' 2024 first-round pick from last year's Deshaun Watson trade.”
Who do you guys want next with our 2 picks in the 3rd? I doubt one of the top 3 tight ends will be available by then. So many holes to fill on offense and defense.
Does anyone ever pay for Mel Kiper’s mock drafts? This is the biggest scam of all time He will never predict it perfectly and what’s the point ?
I'm hoping definitely all offense -a quality tight end for sure should be found easy and maybe another WR
Would also love Achane but with Devin Singletary and already trading away picks, I don’t see us grabbing him.
I thought one day later I would feel better about this but just don’t understand how they could trade so much for a DE. Is he generational? And now the news that’s it’s the Texans pick…
I’m good with Stroud after a nights sleep. But F that guy H. Christopher, no room on these boards for racist dudes like him
Trading the Browns pick would have closed the book on the Watson 1sts. Green and Anderson. Hopefully CLE sucks next year and we can add to it.
