If you told me before the draft we could draft Anderson at 2 and Levis at 12 I might have been ok with that - especially now with the draft collateral going out. I’m a little vexed.
Well you have to consider that if we hadn’t gone with Stroud we probably would have been within striking distance so the cost wouldn’t have been as much as folks think. Pre-draft with Young or Stroud Houston’s 2024 o/u was either 5.5 or 6.5 wins. Curious how that moves now, but if they were right it’d have put us in the 5-13 range in this draft. I’m really hoping my reaction is wrong and Nick is right. I want to trust DeMeco so you won’t hear me complain about Stroud. I’d still prefer Maye or Caleb, but it’s not happening so time to back our QB.
So now we see who would have been left at 12, looks like Levis would have been left at 12 but I think we can assume someone else would have taken Anderson before 12. Still good with the trade. If they believe Anderson will be special you take him.
