What if Nick is playing 8-D chess, trades for #3, offers the Panthers #2 and #3 for #1 to draft Bryce.
Apparently he played every position except center. https://bleacherreport.com/articles...l-draft-2022-scouting-report-for-texas-am-iol
People really are mad already lol. Can’t believe Screamin A said they were racist because they aren’t taking so and so. Like dude, the draft hasn’t even started
Me too! So good vs the old days. How many more hours? Suspense is killing me but we’re in for a rollercoaster of a ride.
Texans know they have to get a QB. Hooker is not that QB. They cannot let the Colts and Titans get Levis and Stroud and try to sell the fan base on a Edge Rusher. JJ Watt is not in this draft. They have to take the QB. Even if they have to trade up to get Richardson (if they take Anderson), they have to come out of this draft with one of the 4 QBs at the top.
Texans were stacked defensively and couldn't make it work. QB is by far the most important position. See Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Joe Burrow, Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady....
Why? Because of fan pressure? I don’t want Hooker either, but they could decide to trade down and build the defense and pick up somebody like Trey Lance or just run it back with Mills for a year. If they don’t like these QB’s they absolutely shouldn’t take one.
Problem then is, Anderson might be their guy and they could drive a hard bargain. Take Stroud and best defense guy at #12. The difference in talent between Nolan Smith, Lukas Van Ness and Myles Murphy is not great enough to justify such an expensive move up for Anderson.
Building a defense doesn't win you a Superbowl...without a QB. This is not the 2000 Ravens or even the 2012 Ravens. You will be chasing a QB for years if u don't take one now. Trading next year will cost you a boatload of picks with no assurance. You don't know if any of those QBs, beside Williams, will be worth a damn.
If they can't trade back to 3 would you be okay trading back to 5 and taking whichever of the top 4 are left?
