So we're all chill with calling Green a bust after one season? You dont think Caserio and Co. will want to give him more time? This is the type of stuff that keeps teams wallowing in the mud.
No, I think it would have to involve Greene sliding to Center or something along those lines. I don't even think they'll take Sko, but if they did I think it would be more of a "Look, this guy isn't a huge need but he's really damn good and you can never have too good of an O-line so let's take him and make it work" type of pick.
Maybe the Texans would look at trading Green for picks or a trade up. Green would be a better fit in a Power blocking scheme and not the ZBS that Slowik is installing.
I do think prospect wise Skoronski graded out better as a college OL than Green did for what its worth. I also think there are massive holes among our skill positions and DL that offer you way better value at that slot while immediately improving your roster. Quentin Nelson is awesome - yet INDY is still picking top 5 with him on the roster. I think our OL is set for next year and we could pass the buck to the following draft for help there. edit: and I hold firm the belief that you can ALWAYS find great IOL in later rounds.
I agree. I'm not saying that would be their plan, but just off the top of my head that's something I think they COULD do. He played a little bit of C at A&M and he worked out there some in his pro day. Again, pure speculation on my part.
Taking another interior OL with one Browns picks would be dumb ass hell. LZ already walked that one back.
I’d rather see us trade down from 2 to 3 and take Will Anderson there. Probably will have one of Levis, Stroud or Richardson available to us at 12 without needing to move up.
