Skoronski is a better prospect than Green. Kenyon Grader is a road grader. Skoronski is solid at both pass protection and the run. I doubt Skoronski will be there at 12, but if he is I would take him especially for a zone blocking scheme.
I wouldn’t take Skoronski at 12, but he’s definitely a better prospect than Green was last year. Green was a reach all the way.
Let’s just remember, this has been a clown show organization for far too long. The only thing that’s changed is the coach. Nick Caserio is not good at the draft. Keep your expectations low
Fan base is truly going to riot. Nothing like busting two first round picks on guards. No way they do it again.
Just going to leave this as a reminder for everyone and the bullshit we are going through because of that *******.
Im still mad about our 1st round last year. Not a lot of teams would have taken Stingley over Sauce. This guy better play all the games next yr and make the pro bowl. As for our 1st round guard…if you are going to draft a guard in the 1st round they better be really good. Very important year for Casserio’s draft picks to prove they can play.
Means that all the twitter and reddit boys are buying what the analyst are predicting. Nothing more, nothing less.
Skoronski would not be a sexy pick at all, but he has true Quenton Nelson or Zack Martin type upside at guard. That would give you 3 very good O-line in Tunsil, Skoronski and Mason, one young and very promising in Howard, and then one in Green where you still don't really know what you're going to get. But you could slide Green over to center (I believe he played there some at A&M?) and all of a sudden have one of the more premier OL units in the NFL and your future QB and run game would benefit immensely from it.
I am conflicted with Skoronski. The tape is really impressive like Bijan Robinson, Jalen Carter type impressive. He is projected to be a Guard because of arm length, but he just dominated last year at Left Tackle. The Texans drafted Green last year and they are still evaluating him and they just signed Mason. Skoronski is better than both of them. Skoronski is going to be a perennial pro bowler. But I understand passing on him because you have additional needs on defense and the Guard position is devalued in the first round.
Im still dealing with the PTSD of the Green pick. I just cant fathom wasting such a high pick on IOL again with so many holes all over the roster. Does Sko even play if drafted at 12? Sheesh.
He's your day one starter at one of the guard positions at the very least. And he'd likely be a pro-bowl/all-pro caliber player at guard year one.
