Mac is a way better option than any QB not named Bryce in this draft

Agreed. I think he’s got potential too, just got stuck with freaking Patricia as OC last year!

If we do take a QB at 2 that basically devalues the Cards pick.

And most of the picks below that too. Take Wilson at #2 and price to move back up skyrockets.

Mac is not even better than Mills. They are trying to equate Mac's value as equal to a future 1st rounder. After seeing 2 years of Mac he's definitely not a 1st rounder. Be honest, I'm tired of recycling Patriots QB's. They are dumping their QB's on us for a reason.

He was the best rookie his rookie year by a lot. Then got stuck with a D coordinator for his O coordinator.

Patriots rather go with Zappboi instead.

Pass, you can find a 10 yr starting center at 33. 73 you should be able to find a solid player. Pierce went 4-103 last yr and while I like Anderson, that's too much to give up on a team with this many holes.

Jay Glazer finna do a segment on what the Texans are doing. Let's see if it's any more creative than trading for the 3rd pick because that Jeremiah dude went all out with his own artistic interpretation of the draft. =)

Lol no one has a clue what the Texans are doing. All four players at +200 or +250

In case anyone’s wondering, this would value Mac as equal to the 2023 1st round, 16th pick.

They would need to up that fourth likely two rounds or throw in a 2024 2nd or 3rd rounder to knock Mac’s value back to at least a 2 if not a 3 for me.

Sorry, I meant consensus (minus cmoak) ;). Saying you'd pass on Stroud for the chance to give up almost all our capital for Mac Jones is mind-blowing.

We all agree that Bill Belichick is one of, if not the best coach in the modern era of football, yet he couldn't make it work with a 1st round QB. But...but... they had a terrible OC.... so what... Mac Jones ain't it. He has zero elite traits, and I'm not a CJ Stroud fan myself, but to penalize Stroud for the talent around him, then say Mac would be light years better, just holds no water IMO.

    Nothing creative from Glazer.
    Glazer:
My guys don't smokescreen me. Years of trust.
He talked to Lovie Smith about the Texans screwing up the draft. Lovie just laughed.
Defensive end first, quarterback later by trading up.
Levis is getting a lot of love around the league. Hooker won't make it past the first round.

I was reading somewhere, I don't remember where, but most scouts only have 1st round grades on 15-20 players

Pass. I'll gladly take Van Ness at 12 and a Center, Schmitz at 33. And at 73 I can find a Tight End.

There are multiple “consensus” top 5 QBs in this draft. That doesn’t mean any of them are good.
Yes Belichick is the goat, but Tom was the reason.
Mac was great his rookie year and Bill hasn’t done anything with any other QB.
    Elite traits? Processing, accuracy
Stroud has no elite traits if that’s the case.

And what are you talking about? The trade is a bunch of picks. I would want more but that isn’t a bad trade

    Why?

Last years draft was very good and that's with Stingley/Green/Metchie getting hurt/sick.

Yeah, that's why the Pats were trying to trade him in the offseason.
