I like FVV as well. We (houston) really needs to move on from this guy. I can already see him yelling at Jalen or Jabari when his man blows by him. He WAS and elite scorer and IS an elite facilitator. He fixes 1 need. With ime being Defensive minded I see no room him on this team. We don't have an embiid in the middle or a tucker on the wing. He will get exposed badly like he was before. I'm all for trying for FVV or Russel (D) before I welcome Harden back for max dollars.

 

2 players that dream of ever having hardens impact on the game. Overpaying those 2 guys with much lesser impact. Definitely not. Easy no

 

I take your point. I’m fine moving past Harden. But I really want someone who can facilitate and run the floor. I think we need that so badly with our young guys. I would be fine with FVV; not so much DeAngelo. I don’t see a winning player. Maybe we’ll go the trade route to get our point guard. Anything but running it back with KPJ and Nix

For me C. Paul is the standard with this team. My second choice would be Lamelo, but those are pipe dreams. For what's available my 1st would be FVV. I think we gonna see alot of surprising moves this off season.

 

Emir is a former teammate of Alp and a year older. He could not improve his game as much.

Adem Bona of UCLA is much better at the moment, a good back-up for PF position.

Mobley and Allen, two would be Rockets, just wrecked by Mitchel Robinson.

Imagine how much sh*t we've taken the past 2 years telling everyone they are being SO DRAMATIC about culture and progress. Everything didn't go amazing, but Ime could see what the more positive out of us were saying: these young guys are not looking as good as they actually ARE right now but there is some serious talent there. Even Tilman said we have 4-5 guys who could be All Stars in a few years. When there's a system and accountability in place - even if it's not the best system - these guys are going to look SO MUCH better I guarantee it.

I told everyone so many times culture change takes months while accumulating assets/flexibility for a title takes years. For some reason everyone was projecting that our players having bad habits was going to last forever or that we would have to trade them. It was always silly.

The job is not done yet. Culture change will also require a great staff and the addition of some good character vets for the young guys to lean on. This is going to be a fun process.

 

At 21 & 25 they’ll be back.

 

Rockets going to be much-improved this year. Looking forward to it now that we have a real coach.
