    The con man / serial liar is expected to appear as soon as Wednesday at federal court in New York’s eastern district, where the charges have been filed under seal.

    The exact nature of the charges couldn’t immediately be learned but the FBI and the Justice Department public integrity prosecutors in New York and Washington have been examining
    allegations of false statements in Santos’ campaign finance filings and other claims.

    It’s about time. Congress should’ve kicked him out or at least stripped him of committee assignments and sanctioned him. McCarthy didn’t want to risk losing a single vote for speaker

    Prosecutors and F.B.I. agents have sought in recent weeks to question the new owner of the 141-foot superyacht — Raymond Tantillo, a Long Island auto dealer — about the boat and his dealings with Mr. Santos, including his campaign fund-raising efforts.

    Mr. Tantillo bought the boat from Mayra Ruiz, a Republican donor in Miami. Mr. Santos negotiated the payment — $12.25 million up front, with $6.5 million more in installments — and advised the two on the logistics of turning over the yacht, according to a person familiar with the sale, which took place a few weeks before his election in November​

    You know if Clarence Thomas had "brokered ' a yacht transaction to avoid disclosure laws .. John Roberts would've given him a mean mug and called it a night.

    Honestly every time i see the moribund Ny state democratic party I wonder how they win anything...- then i see the republicans @Os Trigonum ....

    on the one count of theft of public funds. Santos allegedly fraudulently received more than $24,000 in unemployment insurance benefits.
