Udoka was the only one that might be able to get through to him. If he wants to stick around he'll need to make some big changes. I thought he'd made those last offseason, but he showed different. Maybe next yr will see it. Maybe.
Tillman using those old mafia tactics. You take the guy you want to axe, praise him and show him a good time before the deed is done. Less messy that way.
I think their long discussions both parties agreed on how important the communication was. For that reason, i believe owner and/or gm advised kpj to attend and they endorsed him to give coach/kpj relation a head start. I don't think this is necessarily be a bad thing but they should make sure that relations don't overshadow reality and merits. That could ruin rockets.
Man KPJ has skills he's just a freaking unhinged dumb ass. Ime is not going to be a pushover or an idiot with his offense like nice guy silas. If KPJ can get the right leader to cut out all his bullshit, and tell him to pass the ball, he can benefit just like all the other players. KPJ is looking for a mentor just like everyone else
Tilman will follow whatever Ime tells him. I’m glad KPJ has a good off court relationship with the FO and owner
Very clear sign KPJ ain't going nowhere this off-season barring some massive star-level trade opportunity or serious personal event from Kevin. Good thing Ime seems like the right coach for Kevin. I always said over the years I thought SA and Pops would have been an ideal location for KPJ, because, under Pops, you either get your **** together or your out. Hoping it's the same here with Ime now, hoping KPJ can make it work.
Off the court people, off the court. That means he must be getting a lot of his money back from him in his casinos. He's a sly talker that Tilman
New chapter for all the players. If maturity fails to surface players will not be renewed, some traded, some maybe cut on spot. This team is full of guys born after 2001. The male brain doesn't full mature till about 25. So they are prone to pull some stupid crap for awhile. KPJ might channel his energy with the right influence. I say exercise more patience. The contract makes that easy.
This was all a show to put on by Rockets management to increase his trade value. Unfortunately, it won't be for this offseason, but my guess it'll be for next season.
