Take the best available QB and coach them up.

I don't understand why you would conclude (from the attached video) that he's referring to Young or Stroud. It could literally be any two of the top 10 QB's in this draft. That's a very vague statement. And it can also mean adding through Free Agency or trade a young QB.

Unless our front office is incompetent.

Ian Rappaport has said most NFL circles have Stroud and Young as the clear top two guys.

Levis to me feels like media hype over substance. It seems all the NFL guys seem to believe Stroud and Young are elite level processors on the field. Had no S2 test been reported... everyone would just think that Stroud and Young could go number 1 tomorrow.

The GM's and coaches will have these guys come in to the office and walk them through the playbook or scenarios... if CJ is a good football guy then he probably showed that and will be drafted accordingly.

What we do know.... is that National guys right now.... Are guessing CJ is falling because the Texans haven't come out and said they are taking a QB. Partner that with the S2 test. Nothing said has been confirmed. Now we are speculated to draft Will Anderson(does not jump off the tape at all) or Tyrese Wilson(Kid has had two Linsfranc injuries but does jump out as a potential dominant force)

What do we have.. a bunch of articles saying "I think", "they Might", they "probably" will do X.

The only thing of substance we have from the Texans is Demeco Ryans saying they feel there are 2 top QB's in this draft. I have posted it earlier in the thread which was also posted by our Texans insider Brooks.

Remember... these guys are scouted for years. Not just after the draft. The Texans intel has been dug in on these guys since there 2021 seasons. That is how scouting works.

    QB at 2.

I have also been stating this as well.

I think there is a solid chance that the Texans look to trade with Seattle at 5 which would cost a lot less due to there being a few teams wanting to jump the Colts for potentially QB #3.

If they get 5, they would get to choose potentially between Anderson and Wilson at 5.

Well just for the sake of argument Justin Fields scored the highest test score in the history of the s2 "era" and well he's not really regarded as a good processor on the field. Just sayin'.

Why waste logic injecting it into a void?

The rumor is the Cardinals are going to take Tyree Wilson at three if they Texans don't select him. So yeah, the Texans want to play the Cardinals like the Panthers were doing to Houston.

My guess is the Texans are using all of their available sources to put out multiple conflicting rumors of how they might spend pick #2. Last week it was passing on QB at 2, now Pancakes talking Will Levis. What they're really planning on doing is anybody's guess.

For the record, John wasn't complaining, he was saying that people who are saying the Texans are waffling or leaking different things are full of it. He said they don't leak at all. He wasn't complaining about them.

If Pancakes says its Levis then no way is it Levis. Pancakes is the Texans Minister of Disinformation and only regurgitates whatever the Texans choose to feed him.

The irony is that if the Texans took a QB at 2 and they flopped year 1 then they'd rip the Texans for "not building a strong enough roster for a QB to thrive in". It would be absolute malpractice to take a QB at 2 if you don't wholeheartedly believe in their ability to be your franchise QB. Drafting one just for the sake of drafting one would be much worse than passing on QB and taking Anderson/Wilson.
