so you can stop distracting for the first and last time, trans people are marginalized all over the world and victims, however there is a group of individuals using them for secondary gain here. This is absurd, hateful and wrong… and is political pandering to a select group of people that don’t care about being fair or just.

Whether an adult transitions or dresses like the opposite gender is no concern of the AG or Governor Abbott.

 

Nope- a person that produces sperm is called a male. There is a clear scientific term for it. Same for a person that produces eggs - that is a female.

I understand the decision to not use gender terms, as that is at least in part a social construct and it is welcoming and inclusive without being disrespectful to females.

 

I don’t think 99% of either side of this issue condone violence. If someone breaks the law, then they should be held accountable.

Are there people like the Governor and AG in Texas attempting to gain politically by clearly pushing hate? Yeah.

However there is a LOT of in between on these issues and it doesn’t seem like either side largely respects that.

But what is denied is how there is a link between violence and these issues. People make the false claim that they are trying to protect children to disguise their hate.

There are certainly some people that just hate transgendered people and will jump on any narrative that furthers their ability to further their agenda.

However that isn’t the case for everyone that opposes puberty blockers or sex organ reconstruction on minors.

This point seems to be forgotten as well. There is a big difference between believing that a person has to be an adult before permanently reconstructing their sex organ or taking harmful testosterone and blockers AND supporting people like the AG of Texas.

 

I get that not everyone is 100% antitrans who oppose some of these initiatives - but a lot are.

I am not comfortable with surgery of any type on minors either - including breast implants or nose jobs that many kids get as birthday presents. But the hormone treatment is a different story. Like I've said before, if someone is gender dysmorphic, it's horrifying to make them go through puberty. And to ban that for kids for political purposes is incredibly immoral in my opinion. Too many people feel they are experts in psychology and medical science, and that it's up to them to make decisions for others. In reality it should be a decision between parents, a child, and their doctors. Don't need politicians and people who aren't well informed making these decisions.

 

I draw the line at school shootings with an assault rifle plus a large magazine. Absolutely no excuse when the trans kids run amok like that.
