Suck loss, really one of the ugliest games I can remember seeing in a long time. The score was misleading, pretty sure the rays had runners in every inning, no clean innings for our pitching staff.

Gotta shake that off and clean it up for tomorrow. We'll bounce back.

On the bright side, Meyers continues to impress, so does Dubon.

with Yordan out, Yanier Diaz better get a long look. Tough assignment going against TB staff, but time to show out

And he looks like the picture of health. Pitching didn't do the job today. Hitting didn't help much but Dubon and Bergman looked decent.

Giving up lots of runs to the Rays is unfortunately a common occurance right now. They have SIX players in their lineup with a higher OPS than Yordan Alvarez right now. They also have 2 bench players with 1.000+ OPS. It's not sustainable, but no one is stopping the Rays offense for now.

Chaz currently has a higher OPS than 6 of the 7 guys in that lineup that have played this year.

I think the second inning was clean. It was at least low stress. But yeah- that lineup for tampa is ****ing awesome and Urquidy isn’t good enough to **** them down. He was completely non competitive. I’d really like to avoid them/if we have to play then wait as long as possible.
I had Rays/Astros/Twins parley to win their division. Bet 50 to win 2600. Feeling like the Rays part of my bet is really safe.

Dubon, easily. He had his little hot stretch, but he's had a bunch of one hit, no walk games since and it's fooling people into thinking he's still hitting really well, and he's starting to strike out.

Meyers and Chaz both have better OBP and SLG than Dubon, and are better defensively in CF. Frankly if Meyers can maintain close to his his recent performance both of them are probably better than Brantley as well in LF.

Well after that dismal performance by Urquidy, gotta try to win the next two. Let us pray.

it’s truly amazing how few people seem to understand this concept. No walks plus no power equals a bad offensive player.

While the Astros lost, you can't help but feel excited for all 10,611 in attendance that got to see their beloved team make history by starting a season 14-0 at home for the first time in the live ball era.

Mmm. Let me try.... Nope. Been to Tropicana during a business trip. Don't really feel excited for them. Care for the Astros. Not these guys or their fans.

This iteration of the Rays gives me 2021 Giants vibes, but hopefully they cool off eventually.
