More people prefer warm, as you said. It may not have anything to do with it, but it’s not out of the question. Me personally, I’d take the warm Houston over cold Toronto. Perhaps it played a part for Ime, or maybe not. He was in Boston already and maybe he though “the hell with that” as I did when I moved to a cold northern city back in the day. Never again. Would have been nice
He could've paid Sam Cassell less for being a first time coach. I think Fertitta and Stone just wanted a big name to excite the fanbase.
how much less though? I think we forget Ime was a 1st year head coach. he was getting 3 mill just like Silas.
Udoka was sought after by other teams like Toronto. He had options and could have easily signed somewhere else. Tilman had to spend to get Udoka to sign.
Good for us.....he avoided the disaster that is the Nets and is coming to a up and coming team where he whip these teenagers into shape!
That’s a good idea. Surprised no one has done one yet. Should I try to start a poll? I want to know too…
LOL. In just a matter of hours, this thread will be three times as long as the Silas is fired thread.
I will say that signing Udoka has given me a healthier perspective for watching the playoffs. I'm not just hate-watching for the Lakers and Warriors to lose out of despair for the Rockets.
This would be ****ing awesome. Put this mother****er in the right position, have his ass come off the bench, and play like a team player instead of a selfish lil' b****.
Worry about your own house and not his. What he does and who he does it with is his own darn business. I couldn’t give a :;()$ if he like a chick in the organization. People date in the workplace all the time no big deal at all.
This may have received a chuckle or two the first few times it’s been said. Now it’s corny. The running joke is old now; we’ve only heard it a million times already.
A lot of players are going to want to play for Udoka. Houston will be a destination for FAs once again
It would be much better for everyone to have a clean slate and move this distraction out of the way before the season even starts. Don't taint Udoka's start by still having the immature cancer KPJ in the locker room. Just clean it up before Udoka starts, and move KPJ out - ideally for Jaylen Brown, with Tate and a bunch of picks.
BTW considering how Stone has performed at past press conferences it will be interesting to see how he handles the inevitable questions about Udokas very recent past and the team's views thereof
