More people prefer warm, as you said. It may not have anything to do with it, but it’s not out of the question. Me personally, I’d take the warm Houston over cold Toronto. Perhaps it played a part for Ime, or maybe not. He was in Boston already and maybe he though “the hell with that” as I did when I moved to a cold northern city back in the day. Never again.
There will be plenty of matches where they can hide Sengun. He out-battled numerous centers in his 2nd year. And had stretches against almost every top big — in year two. He could also improve…novel thought. If Sengun needs to be benched down the stretch, nobody should care. Doesn’t mean he can’t be a big contributor to the success of this team. He doesn’t have to be “franchise player or bust.”
Everyone hopes Ime will energize the kids, develop them, and win. I don't know if that will happen. I do know the Rockets won't be down by 20 and have their coach clapping and smiling on the bench.
