I'm not sure why Don Lemon kept high profile TV jobs for so long. When Don Lemon asked an aviation spokesperson about theories on what happened to Malaysia Flight, uh, Number Number Number: "Could it have flown into a black hole?" My head still hurts from the facepalm. Yeah, Don, the flight disappeared into the black hole between your ears.

I was reminded of: "[Don Lemon] will read anything you put on the teleprompter. And by anything, I mean: A-NY-THING."

I always liked Don, but something happened when he went from prime time to the am show, I am not sure if he felt it was a demotion or maybe it was his true self coming out (no pun intented) but I didn't think he was a good fit for the am show. In the long run a good move, Only AC is left with Wolf as the prime time anchors..........Kaetlin Collins is doing well, I think she will go far

Idk why any cable news channel would pay any anchor the amount that they get paid. Total waste of money when anyone can deliver the news

    Same goes for sportscasting.

That's why these muppets editorialized more than deliver straight-up news...to attract the attention and following of couch potatoes and other half-dead vegetables.

They then parrot to their flock and take credit for delivering the same hot takes these muppets read/heard through the teleprompter and earpiece.

But do any of these people actually have their own following? Any Lemon-Heads out there following him to his next gig? People that watch Tucker are just gonna watch whoever takes over his timeslot. No one cares who presents the content, they just want the content that they want to hear.

Beats me about lemon...his ratings makes it seem he was bad at "being different". I do know when I did surf cable channels, if the eye candy was sweet enough, I'll pause and watch Fox News until I feel sick/angry inside.

There's an obvious difference between weather bunnies and gasbags like Maddow or O'Reilly, but it's all lipstick on a product designed to be cheap, underfunded, and explosively entertaining.

I don't know man. @Commodore is having a melt down on the Tucker thread. It is okay though. He is in mourning.

and also the dumb stuff that lemon said and did had no real effect on national discourse or influenced any segment of the population in any way.

carlson is the preeminent voice in republican/trump/conservative politics and knowingly spread lies and disinfo that had a direct negative impact on the public, the government and the country at large. and he also was a sexist jerk towards his coworkers.

don lemon is a dork and an airhead, but to say what he did is worse than what carlson did is just bizarre.

24/7 cable news being replaced by 24/7 gossip news :D

    Not sure much will change.

and it sounds like the reason carlson got fired isnt because of the lies he spread on his show, but his own sexist and inappropriate conduct at work.

the things you say make lemon worse than carlson are things that carlson has done as well.

Carlson may have been the preeminent voice on cable news, but the entirety of cable news has five million viewers. There are 330 million people in America. at best, roughly 40% are republicans, or 130m-140M.

Carlson may have had an oversized presence in your fever dreams, but his impact on American politics is insignificant.

you couldnt be more wrong with that statement. his impact on right-winger/trumper politics is massive. in many ways he controls them.

look at how carlson called on greg abbott to pardon a convicted murder and how quickly the governor caved into him. mccarthy caved into him in order to become speaker. carlson even controlled trump in many ways. he called on trump to fire people he didnt like and trump would do it. john bolton, for example. he called on governors to send migrants to marthas vineyard and then ron desanctimonious did just that. ted cruz initially and correctly said january 6th was an insurrection and they were terrorists. carlson attacked him for that and cruz went on his show and apologized and said his statement was "frankly, dumb".

your political heroes take their cues from him. the base of your political party does too.
