Brown has always been an efficient player. Even in his rookie year. Jalen probably will never be as efficient as he is. Still i'm not giving up on my 2nd pick just yet.

Well I wouldn't necessarily want to either, that's why I'm saying I would prefer to give up Sengun instead, but if that upgrade is possible, I wouldn't want to turn it down simply to keep Green if they won't take Sengun.

    Jalen Green second year:

22 ppg 4 apg 3 tpg 3 rpg 54% ts on 60% unassisted rate for fgs made.

    Brown
15 ppg 1.6 apg 1.8 tpg 5 rpg 56% ts on 32% unassisted rate for fgs made.

So Brown averaged more turnovers than assists and has slightly higher ts% on a mostly catvh and shoot/cutting role player shot diet while Green averaged 7 more ppg on slightly worse efficiency on mostly off the dribble self created makes.

And yet Jaylen Brown was a massive net positive for his team while Jalen Green was a net negative.

I know your love for Green is unconditional, and you forget that there are two sides of the ball....and that chucking isn't actually a good thing, but your guy Jalen isn't good enough to carry Jaylen Brown's shoes.

Sengün had the best underlying stats for a young man....analytics so I was wondering if the Rockets went from Moreyball to something completely different.

A little different when he’s an established, veteran player. At this point Westbrook is who he is. He will never change or improve in any particular area. Sengun is a young player, barely 20. To so forcefully want him gone is just bizarre.

You do realize Brown would almost certainly remain in his natural 3 position while Jalen plays the 2, right?

plenty of players I haven’t liked over the years. None of them were in their second year and still learning growing. Sengun has zero baggage, gets off making assists, and plays hard. How can you hate him so much? Because he isn’t good defensively? Again, neither is Jalen. They’ll improve. Or they won’t and you’ll have to be smarter with your roster. Didn’t stop the Warriors.

I don’t disagree. And there is nothing wrong with thinking we need to improve a position, or trade a player. But Maj isn’t advocating for an alternative. He seems to despise what Sengun brings, as if Jalen Green and others aren’t EQUALLY frustrating on defense. At least Sengun passes.

If some all star or next generation center was available, I’m not suggesting we make a decision — we should always go for the better players. Acting like Sengun is some bum is just ridiculous. He has short falls. But he’s better offensively and rebounding than almost every other big even remotely close to his age.

he doesn’t realize that green just chucked up shots on the worst team in the league lol. Boston was a playoff team, soooo. Still high on green, he just has a ways to go

CF insiders are the best. No sources needed , just post and cause chaos with Sengun, KPJ , or Green bait .... works everytime

How many threads we gonna have about this?

Brown isn't leaving unless he misses All-NBA and he's probably not gonna miss All-NBA. Even if he does leave, it's not entirely up to him where he gets traded.

I'd also rather maintain our cap flexibility, wait one year until he's a free agent, and get him without giving up assets. We're not contending for a championship this season anyway.

    Neither

    1) We have nothing but time
    2) He's completely free in a year

Jaylen Brown would drastically improve the defense and 3 point shooting on the team while filling a hole at SF.

The Rockets want to make a massive leap next season and this move would go a long way towards that. If you can make a deal only losing someone like Sengun, you do it in a heartbeat.

Come on man, you damn well this team is not trading Jalen Green. So then it’s going to be Sengun or if we end up with the 6th pick, then that.

Regardless of what you do, I would figure out what Boston's draft board looks like for 2-7, implying we include that player in a trade, and then worst case hold on to them. Boston has the best front office in the entire NBA, while we are likely bottom 3. We need to get a handle on their research, because if we land a guy in 5-7 chances are we blow it, and teams like OKC, Boston, SAS would absolutely pick the right guy.

lol and you will have what kpj green brown bari and ??? frank the tank or boban or bari at 5 tari at 4 .wemby or scoot. if some miracle happens and rockets land wemby we must wait at least 3 or 4 years for wemby adjust nba physicality ,why he is in an inferior competition is he was ragdolled by average eurolegue centers while your trade asset got mvp while dominating them at 18 yo. wemby is a balloon waiting to pop.
