Sometimes, children express a desire to undergo treatment, and in other cases, it may be initiated by the parent or legal guardian with medical advice. Some examples are gender transtion care, cancer treaments or circumcision. Statutory rape, on the other hand, is a criminal act of sexual assault committed against a minor without their consent, or the consent of a parent or legal guardian, and certaintly not of a medical profiessional. It has nothing to do with medical treatement or care.
