Josh McCown is the Panthers QB Coach.
Phil Simms is a professional analyst. Who was part of the Patriots coaching staff in 2012.
Kurt Warner- Highly successful NFL Career
    Joel Klatt leading Collegiate Analysis

    Nope, disregard.

I like that Ben dude on Mom's garage draft analysis.

Because the pressure rarely happened. Ohio State has the top offensive line and top WR in the county for the last 2 years. In 2022 Wide Receivers Chris Olave and Garret Wilson were selected in the 1st round. Jeremy Ruckert was selected in the third Round. In 2023 JXN is expected to be a 1st rounder and Marvin Harrison Jr is expected to be a 1st rounder in 2024. In 2022, Nicholas Petit-Ferere was a 3rd round offensive lineman while Thayer Munford was selected in the 7th. This year, OT Paris Johnson will be a 1st rounder, while center Luke Wypler is expected to go in the 3rd. As i said the offensive line of Ohio State is elite and any QB would be efficient playing behind it and throwing to the best Wide receivers. When pressure did happen, Stroud's efficiency under pressure was below what the other QB's in the draft were rated at under pressure.

If the Texans don't take Stroud at #2 they will not have the balls to take Levis at #2. If Stroud turns out to be legit and Levis is a bust they will be talked about and made fun of for years. At least if the Texans go with Anderson or Wilson they should get a pro-bowl caliber defensive playmaker with a small bust possibility.

Usually smart QB's with the physical skills do well in the NFL.

QB's that haven't done well on the S-2 haven't done well in the NFL.

I value talent/work ethic and intelligence at the QB position. With this said, I think Stroud will be a top 12-15 type NFL QB.

Choosing the agent he did tells me what Stroud is all about and it isn't winning championships.

Standing the Manning's up and using the defense of well he isn't getting paid tells me what Stroud's all about.

Scoring badly on a test he's known he was going to have to take and still scoring badly on it after taking it multiple times either says 1. He didn't take this seriously even though a bad score could negatively affect his career. 2. He's flat out dumb as bleep.

Okay, thanks for the thoughtful response.
What that tells me is we need some talent around this guy and he should be okay right?
The other thing I think about, is he's only a Jr. Iow, he has plenty of upside.

The first guy works for the Athletic, the second has a better breakdown than PFF.
Also, it was Chris Simms, who has been wrong a lot lately.
Now McCown is some genius? Weren’t you one of the people hating on potentially hiring him? Or was that just then?

It's kind of like the Kurt Warner situation. If you can put highly talented pieces around Stroud (Orlando Pace, Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt, Marshall Faulk) he's going to do great. If you don't then it will be like when Kurt Warner went to play for New York Giants and was a disaster.

Carr would be a good comparison to Levis. IMHO

Hooker is a really interesting prospect. He is really accurate when he has his base set. Looks like he can read a defense pre snap as he is quick to the open man. Super hard to grade as a prospect because the scheme is pretty wacky and double splits everywhere.....I like him 4th behind AR.

But guess what! He scored a 46 Percentile on the S2 test... so he must suck like CJ does too... right.

I mean where is the same energy? Or are we just being illogical as well.

He will never be the QB Warner was when he took the Cards to the SB. I'll say this again, Cards. LMAO comparing HOF'er Warner to Stroud.

The S-2 is not an intelligence test and isn’t something you can really prepare for. If he scored poorly it’s because he is below average naturally compared to other elite athletes.

We don’t know anything about the Manning camp other than he decided not to go. Building additional narratives is just rumor mongering.

David Mulugheta is a very successful agent. There is no agent that’s all about winning championships. The goal of an agent is to get the best financial compensation for their client.

He had a bad S-2 score and that worries me.

The Stroud score was terrible. Like he cant read or was just filling in the bubbles type terrible.

    1. Young has taken the test several times, even since high school, Why didn't Stroud take this test like Young did. Poor representation by DM, IMHO

    2. Facts aren't rumor mongering.

    3. True and Stroud picked DM for this very reason. He isn't about winning championships, he's about getting paid. Pass

This will most likely be the case.

If they dont want Stroud, they shouldn't be afraid of the Colts picking Stroud.

Anyways, I think all this draft talk on Stroud and Levis is irrelevant. I don't think either one will be drafted by the Texans. The Texans are obviously out on Stroud at 2. I think they would draft Levis in the 1st round, but not at 2. And the Texans can't trade back and still draft Levis because the Colts are going to draft him at 4. It sounds like the Titans are looking to trade either Henry or Tannehill on Thursday for picks that they can use to move up in the draft to select Stroud. I think it's far likelier that the Texans select either Hooker or Haener.
