    The team should schedule 20 DH games and 20 rest days for him throughout the season

    You would think Yanier would get the start with the quick turnaround time from the last game. Wouldn’t be surprised if Maldy would feel threatened and throw a fit like he did in the off-season.

    Let's check in on the "What if we had signed Willson Contreras?".

    I'll use the stats of Julks and Diaz as a comp, since the plan would have been to stick him in left field if he wasn't playing backup catcher.

    Julks/Diaz: 76 ABs, 14 R, 2 HR, 8 RBI, .289

    Contreras: 77 ABs, 11 R, 2 HR, 10 RBI, .279

    Hmmmmm.....

    I'm not sure if you're implying Dusty would have allowed Contreras to take over as starting catcher. If you are, then you're clearly not paying attention.
