What's interesting is ever since Meyers got sat down by the batting coaches and started to use the leg kick, he's been hitting well. So even if Dubon goes to the CF, if Meyers continues to hit well, they'll be sending someone who's hitting to the bench. Heck wasn't McCormick during okay before he got hurt? He's back soon. Does he get CF back or is it Meyers to lose now?
If Meyers can maintain a league average OPS he should start in CF when our flyball guys are pitching. His defensive metrics are elite, even with him giving some back with his weak arm. Chaz should still play more, just spending time in LF. Honestly Brantley would likely provide the least value of the 3 in that scenario, but it would be one hell of a problem to have. Who should start would depend on who is starting for us and the opponent. Still gonna pump the brakes on Meyers or Dubon being starting options in August, particularly Dubon.
OK. But there is always a team or two that we have trouble with that we shouldn't. Would you at least acknowledge that?
Altuve at DH until he's back in his groove. Then Dubon to CF (assuming he can keep this up, which I don't see happening).
I think you may have had some part of the picture cut off. On my TV I saw: RBI Probability - 5% 2 RBI Probability - 100%
Stros looking for their first 3-game win streak of the season They've already dropped three consecutive L's Framber has pitched awesome. Wright has struggled in his two starts
He's got a set role... albeit a pretty tough one. He comes in games where they're losing or tied and the starter didn't go past 6. Not really a long relief guy but also not one of the top 4 high leverage bullpen guys. This role was virtually non-existent last year given how good the team was and how deep the starters were usually able to pitch. He could certainly find his way into the top 4 high leverage guys (especially of Montero doesn't buckle down), but for now he's going to excel as yet another bullpen guy with great stuff who's pitched in far more pressure packed situations before. Embarrassment of riches.
Brantley is literally starting his rehab assignment in Sugar Land tomorrow (he has a maximum of 20 days before a roster move has to happen) Adjust your spreadsheets accordingly.
Lol...I'm ecstatic he came through. I'm afraid if Abreu doesn't become more productive, however, that we'll be seeing Yordan intentionally walked more especially late. Yordan had been in a slump and the team really needed him. He's the most important hitter on this team especially with them being short handed.
**** me for stating facts......? ok dude has been swinging at pitches outside the zone and in the dirt.
