My thoughts exactly which is why the higher ups involved in the Colts game should all be investigated Enron style.

I find it funny and weird LOL, 3 weeks ago, during the Pro Day of CJ Stroud, everyone in the media, showed how the entire Carolina front office, and coaches went to see him, and talk to him, and most of the media were already claiming he was the no.1 pick without a doubt, and only good things were said about him. then 2 weeks later, people start to talk about how many red flags, and how he could fall outside the top 5?

Just like Tunsil he was going to be top 3, and the gas mask video appeared and dropped til 20.

Over the past 5 years QB's that have scored badly on the S-2 haven't been successful 100% of the time. But Strouds different. Okey

    Betting public doesn't know jack.

    I will say this.

Ian Rappaport seems pretty dug in on Stroud or Young to the Texans. Ian had the early source on Demeco and was withholding it on the Pat Mcaffee show.

LZ seems like he is 50/50 based on what he has heard, saying the room is split.

There is probably more smoke for CJ than anyone in this draft. Thats my expectation.

I've said this before. The Texans are going to improve this year. They won't be in the running for next year's group. Their FA suggest they are righting the ship this year.

They have to take their franchise guy now or you risk the Ryan Mallet, Hoyer, Osweiler days with a good defense.

People bring up the 49'ers as a team we would try to emulate, but even they realized a few years ago they needed a real QB to compete and tried to get Trey Lance at the costs of their future. I think that "find a QB later" dynamic is over said at this point.

This doesn't even get to the point of below:

Are the Texans led by the McNairs who have brought up the empty stadiums on their own accord going to allow this team to start Davis Mills again? This fan base was excited for Demeco, but one game of poor QB play from Mills and its back to square one quickly.

Stroud or AR with the assumption Young is gone and I think the fan base will be patient with them again.

I'd hate to think the highest paid LT will be protecting the blind side of

Maye has ties to the same agent?

Stroud appears to not be a man of his word, in addition to being not very smart. Not just his test score which was laughable, but his choice of agent says he's all about getting paid and not winning championships. He made this choice while in college. Now it's time to let him live with his choices. Me people aren't leaders. What amazes me is how some people already want to jump back in bed with DM and another one of his selfish clients after finally getting rid of the headache that was Watson. I guess some people will never learn. Stroud standing up the Manning's is just another example of what I'm talking about.

Even if you're right Stroud ain't the guy. They will pick a QB, but I bet it won't be Stroud.

My favorite part of draft time is revisiting these threads.

I remember the last time we drafted Deshaun.

@Bobbythegreat was adamant that he was a terrible QB. Ended up being so wrong.

Always fun to look back, because I could get egg on my face with this one, but Stroud is the safest pick in this draft from the QB position.

Bad S2 test be damned LOL.

Caleb Williams...come on now. Stay with us.

It's already been said that Stroud decided to workout with his teammates instead of going to a camp, that we aren't 100% sure he committed to. Whether he was committed to it or not, I'd rather my QB get reps with his teammates instead of some camp that means nothing to his progression. Just me.

We're also talking about a test that none of us has heard of until this year. A test that makes one of the top Qbs look bad. Before this year, you wouldn't have cared about that test. There's going to be test every three years making up some bull.

Interesting the Bama game from two weeks earlier, when Bryce had his receivers, is not part of the comparison. I mean if you really want apples to apples.

Caserio could theoretically trade down and accumulate another 1st round pick in next years draft (or make multiple moves) and then be able to throw 4 1st rounders at a team in a trade for a high pick next season or a disgruntled veteran QB without it hurting draft stock for more than a couple of years. No way you convince yourself its do or die with the guys in this draft.

I guess the point is no one knows for sure.. all speculation. You never know.. they may actually call Stroud at 2.

Run the tape feel free to add on! What stood out to me is Youngs footwork sucks compared to the other guys. That Tom Savage P.E. coach drop back is going to get him killed in the NFL.

More than that though Jalen Carter just pops off the film.

Yeah, and if the worst two teams in the league have the ability to draft two guys who are being compared to Pat Mahome/Justin Herbert then they probably don't care how much capital you will give up.

Doubtful and not something you should rely on. Caserio has said it himself.

Everyone has a price next years crop is more than two deep anyway and the given that THIS team is going to be positioned far away from the top picks is a heavy dose of homerism. No offense.
