This is my objection as well! He knows his X's and O's and is pretty likable, but you don't get a free pass to do whatever you feel like doing! It's almost as if he was trying to get fired porking his bosses boss! What does everyone think that the Celtics were going to do.... bow down to his majesty?? He might be the best coach available, but he's not the only good coach available.... I digress! Go Rockets!!! ....... ....... .......
Rockets already hired a firm to conduct an investigation into the alleged incident. They thought it was a non issue and interviewed him. In this day and age, that means a lot. Last thing you want is for stuff to come out after the fact. It's a non issue.
I love Nick Nurse but the team that had him wants Ime and Ime only got fired because of dick discipline. The Rockets need to be earnest in this upcoming round of interviews. Hopefully they handle this before the second round of the playoffs. Before the lottery order is announced.

Udoka is a guy that can change an entire culture, steer an organization for 20 years like Pop or Spoelstra. It’s almost like signing a franchise player, a coach that I would be excited to have. Nurse is ok, his offense is unimaginative but at least he doesn’t gimp his own players to fit his own coaching philosophy like Vogel. I would be happy with Nurse but this is a guy that will be here for a few years before we move on like the last coaches we have had the past two decades. Udoka on the Raptors will make them contenders within 3 years, I’ll guarantee that. The Raptors underperformed this year and a lot of that had to do with Nurse.
I meannnn when you sleep with the owner’s girl (or whichever FO official it was) - you get the feeling his coaching career clearly flashed before his eyes - that would humble anyone alpha male or not (if you care about your career). The point I was making (can’t speak for others) was that Stone is absolutely positively not interrupting an Ime Udoka practice to demonstrate a drill. I’d bet my salary on it - and I’m a frugal SOB. Dude was on record chewing out Tatum and JB - most coaches tip toe around superstars these days (especially the ones under 26)

Waiting for the announcement that Vogel has been dropped. Although with the current coaching market (not a lot of teams are looking?) perhaps they are actually being SMART???? and using Vogel as leverage... nah that can't be. Drop Vogel. No more babysitter coaches. IQ-development coach or bust.
