The USSC might but this seems like a pretty clear cut difference.

Oh I am sure the USSC has to rule against this given how blatant of a violation this would be (although they may allow a private donation to be acceptable which is still ridiculous).

But conservatives DON'T CARE - they will push this anyway, and will decry anyone on the court that didn't give them what they want as "legislating from the bench" or not conservative enough.

Here are the 10 commandments reimagined for the 21st century by a Human Resources firm:

    1. Thou shalt prioritize diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the workplace, and strive to create a culture where all individuals feel valued and respected.
    2. Thou shalt not discriminate against any employee or job applicant based on their race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.
    3. Thou shalt provide a safe and healthy work environment for all employees, and take all necessary steps to prevent workplace harassment and violence.
    4. Thou shalt communicate clearly and transparently with employees, and provide them with the necessary information and resources to succeed in their roles.
    5. Thou shalt respect the privacy and confidentiality of all employee information, and ensure that all data is stored securely and used only for legitimate business purposes.
    6. Thou shalt provide fair compensation and benefits to all employees, and ensure that they are paid in a timely and accurate manner.
    7. Thou shalt invest in the professional development and training of all employees, and provide opportunities for growth and advancement.
    8. Thou shalt foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration, and encourage employees to work together to achieve common goals.
    9. Thou shalt comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing the workplace, including those related to employment, health and safety, and data privacy.
    10. Thou shalt strive to be a responsible and ethical employer, and conduct business in a manner that is sustainable, socially responsible, and environmentally conscious.

    1. Be respectful to yourself and others. This means using kind words, treating others how you would like to be treated, and standing up for what is right.
    2. Always tell the truth. Lying can hurt others and damage trust. Remember, honesty is the best policy!
    3. Keep your hands and feet to yourself. This means no hitting, pushing, or shoving. We all have a right to feel safe and respected.
    4. Listen when others are speaking. It's important to pay attention when someone is talking to you so you can understand and learn from what they're saying.
    5. Work hard and do your best. Whether it's in school, sports, or any other activity, always try your hardest and don't give up.
    6. Take care of the environment. We all share this planet and it's important to do our part to keep it clean and healthy.
    7. Respect other people's belongings. Ask before borrowing something and make sure you return it in good condition.
    8. Be kind to animals. They deserve our love and respect too.
    9. Be responsible for your actions. If you make a mistake, own up to it and try to make it right.
    10. Take time to rest and recharge. It's important to take care of your body and mind by getting enough sleep, eating healthy foods, and taking breaks when you need them.

I made this point during the Kennedy case that there is a fine line of individual expression of religion in public and public endorsement of religion. In the case of Coach Kennedy I do think that was an individual who happened to be a coach expressing his religion in public. The difference here is that this would explicitly be a public endorsement as the Legislature is literally mandating a religious expression in public schools.

the arguments that this is a general expression of moral values is undercut that the first commandment “Thou shalt have no other God” is explicitly a command for one religion.

    I can’t see @AroundTheWorld writing the 10th one here.

Write the 10 commandments as if they were written in the 21st century by a constitutional lawyer who is also a CEO and lives in Florida. He is a self-declared libertarian but openly flirts with conservatism in his political beliefs.

    1. Protect your freedom of speech, thought, and expression at all costs. The government has no right to censor your ideas or beliefs, whether online or offline.

    2. Respect the property and privacy of others. Trespassing, theft, and intrusion into someone's private life are not only immoral but also illegal and can result in serious consequences.

    3. Honor your contractual obligations. In a free society, agreements are the foundation of commerce, and breaking them undermines trust and damages the economy.

    4. Uphold the rule of law. The law is not perfect, but it is the best system we have for maintaining order and justice. Everyone, including the powerful, must be held accountable to it.

    5. Defend your right to bear arms. The Second Amendment is a fundamental safeguard against tyranny and a tool for self-defense.

    6. Promote economic freedom. The government should not interfere in the market, regulate prices, or dictate how individuals or businesses conduct their affairs. Free enterprise leads to innovation and prosperity.

    7. Support limited government. The state should be a minimal force, intervening only when necessary to protect the rights and safety of its citizens.

    8. Respect the sanctity of life. Every human being, from conception to natural death, has inherent dignity and worth, and should be protected by law.

    9. Foster personal responsibility. Each individual is responsible for their own well-being and should not expect the government to solve all their problems.

    10. Embrace diversity and tolerance. We should respect people's differences and promote understanding, even when we disagree with them. Discrimination and bigotry have no place in a free society.

So what happens if Trump gets elected again and this law goes through? "Mrs. Johnson, if we are suppsed to live up to the 10 Commandments then why do Christians elect a President who breaks 2, 3, 7, 8, 9 10?"

Why does the party of "fiscal responsibility" pass laws like this, knowing they are going to be sued, knowing they are going to lose, and still persist in blowing taxpayers' dollars to defend these cases? This is a rhetorical question. It is so they can try and convince their rubes and marks to still vote for them.

If you had read my post carefully, which neither you nor @Rileydog did, you would have realized that I spoke AGAINST the bill, because government should not endorse one religion over another - but stated that I believe most of the VALUES from the 10 commandments are a GOOD thing to be taught to children.

Hence, @Rileydog's comment that I don't know the constitution was STUPID.

@Ubiquitin you don't need to apologize. His comment is still stupid and bigoted(western chauvinism) as you can see here.

You want a lot of things. My 3 year old son wants candy all the time. Doesn't get that either (although still too much - just like I educate and entertain you too much).
