I was confused as to why he brought up Trey Lance too. I saw Justin Fields. I guess ALL BLACK QBs look alike. Lol
Let’s play this game again. Mills started in 6 of his first 7 games. Lance started in 4 of his first 7 games, the last game in which he was injured after 3 attempted passes. You couldn’t skew stats harder even if you tried.
I had no idea he only started 4 games. Didn't watch the guy. Not a 49ers fan. So he only started 4 games in two years, and played in 7. Not sure how much I would get excited about him regardless if he had 5 TD and 3 INT. If we didn't give up top picks for him I wouldn't care though.
So the Cooks extension and Cannon getting hurt is a sign of failure. There's no franchise QB in this draft. Maybe a top 10-15 QB but that's about it. I hope this guys held to the same standard at his job.
I would absolutely take top ten. That will allow you to build the team around him. Young and Stroud both have that potential.
Yeah, the part where he suggested that because HE (the media) doesn't know what the Texans are going to do, then that must mean that the Texans themselves don't know...that's some real arrogance there. And I don't blame that final victory on Caserio. If he started benching people just so Lovie didn't have any good players to run out there, then you put yourself at risk of penalty for tanking (and the league seems to love penalizing the Texans). That's on Lovie. Now, Caserio did hire Lovie, so there is that.
Benching Mills/Cooks would have to come from ownership. They would have to be willing to pay the fines/loss of draft picks. Caserio probably didn't know who he wanted to pick at the time. Probably still doesn't because of trade opportunities, I didn't see this as being arrogant. Some people's brains work differently.
